I think that the movie was ABSOLUTLY GREAT in all aspects!!!
and i think who ever said that the movie was RACIST...is
stupid ... i think that Robin Givens was truly showing a
great side of herself and i don't think that anyone was
underwritten in this story plot as well!! Grace Jones was
FUNNY!!

I really loved the movie and it remains as one of my
favorites. It gives a general display of some scenes that
can take place in real life, like men cheating on their
girlfriends.
Most of all, I like Robin Givens role. She really made an
essence out of the whole picture, making Eddie and Robyn a
wonderful screne couple.

I thought the movie was very good. Because men think that they can really do women and in this movie Robin reversed it with Eddie. And for that I just loved it. It's not always the women getting whipped, there's men out there that are whipped too. But at the end he finally realized what a good girl he was missing out on (Halley Barry) and I'm glad that he did. But Robin just had to show him.
I liked it though and I think they should make more movies like that for women.
Thanks

I think that it was a great movie. Even though Robin
Givens treated Eddie Murphy a little cold, it was still
funny. Two of the funniest people were Martin Lawrence and
Tisha Campbell.

The movie Boomerang was and still is a great film. However I
am very angry at Chris Hicks' stupid comments about this
film. He said that this film was very racist just because
the film only had just two white characters. In case you
don't know Mr. "ignorant" Hicks, this is a black romantic
comedy. I didn't hear your ignorant butt complaining about
white romantic comedies, and not enough black characters
being in the film. So therefore, you are the one that is the
racists,Mr. Hicks. The problem with you,Mr. Hicks, and other
white people in Hollywood is that you and other white people
in the media, movie, and television industry are not used to
seeing positive stereotypical of black people. But if it's a
negative stereotypical movie about black thugs, and coycat
wanna-be gangster negroes, then you and other white people
all of sudden begin to except black films. If an all black
romantic comedy is racists, then maybe an all white
romantic
comedy is racists too. I'm just making a point. You have a
very big problem Mr. Hicks, and I suggest you better check
yo' self before you wreck yo' self. THINK ABOUT IT! You can

Boomerang was one of eddie murphys best films. Anyone who
doesn't think this is obviously someone old, white and
stupid who doesn't understand black humor!!!!!!!!!!1

It is very interesting to me that my family and most of my
friends (who are black)found Boomerang very entertaining.
Most of my friends that did not care for the movie are
white. It's been years since I have first seen Boomerang
and back then I couldn't understand why everyone didn't
love the film. Now that I am older I understand that much
of the comedic material definitely relates to the Black
Experience. Unfortunately too few whites knew too little
about black social norms to truly appreciate the humor.

5 STARS ***** I will watch this movie over and over again,
no matter who thinks that it's RACIST (Mr. Hicks).

Mr. Hicks is entittled to his own opinion. I personally
think they ought to come out with a PART II, you heard me?

Boomerang has been one of my top ten favorites for years
now!- & I am an old white guy! Why must everyone look at
things along racial lines? If it's funny, ITS FUNNY! I've
seen it at least 20 times, memorized most of the lines, and
my wife and three oldest kids love it. When my baby
daughter gets old enough, I'll bet she loves it too!!
Next to the Big Lebowski, this may be the one movie that
always brings a smile to my face.

Even after all this time, I still find Eddie Murphy's movie
"Boomerang" very funny. Grace Jones cramps my stomach with
wild laughter with her performance in the resturant and at
the board meeting. Mr Hicks apparently doesn't get it, but
he doesn't have to. This movie was made for everyone
(black, white, whatever...), and everyone will have an
opinion. He probably doesn't get "Dogma" or "American
Beauty" either, but his opinion doesn't make them good or
bad movies. I rank "Boomerang" as one of my favorite
movies of all time.
One last thing...Mr. Hicks, would you care to tell us how
many black faces were in some of the other movies you
reviewed and if they were also "used as stupid comic
foils"?
Thanks...

I would just like to say ther must be a shortage for good
film critics...Boomarang was and still is a great
movie ..it's not typical and Eddie allows black&white
people to look at black people in a different level. I
suggest you you stop watching those old 50 films ....black
is in.
Perry | 7:12 a.m. Aug. 23, 2000
how can you consider the movie Boomerang to be racist
simply because it only has two white characters in the
movie. The American film industry is dominated by white
america, the mere fact that one can list all the movies
with a full black cast and that black american are rarely
used in most american films proves that the film industry
is who is racist and black americans have finaly been given
the chance to simply be actors not The Black Actors, adding
a bit of color to the average white film. The comment you
made was racist and you should consider seeing people as
people not black and white people.
