The Deseret News' reviewer notes that it's too bad that in
this film, AIDS was not addressed as a possible effect of
having sex. Well, Mr. Reviewer, you may want to note that
this parody film takes place in the '70s and early 80s.
AIDS was not widely reported in the US until around 1985.

This movie was so pathetic. So whats the secret about the
70/80's-they have no character or morals.Cheap sluts/tramps
of America!I can't believe Heather Graham gave herself up
for guys who were barely human looking and I'm thinking
they must me from planet UGLY!The women and the men were
retards. If anyone sinks to that level I guess they lack
self-respect.Which was quite ovious in this movie.

Man, Paul Thomas Anderson is damn good! Boogie
Nights is his second best (next to the dazzling
magnolia) and is flawless in it's charecterization, peroid
detail and view of the porn underworld. It's also got
some very interesting undertones of coming-of-age
epic and black comedy, but to anyone who truly
appreciates good film, see this masterpeice. If these
shallow conservatives find it too hard to swallow...to
bad!
