Interesting reviews, but I'm curious if we watched the same movie. You say the movie is "VIOLENT" and "MEAN-SPIRITED" you have to be JOKING! You telling me that Narnia, with all those action sequences doesn't come across as violent almost need PG-13, cause there is TWICE as much violence in that film than Speed. Plus Speed doesn't even have as much fighting as the kids show Power Rangers. There is more "VIOLENCE" in one Power Ranger episode than Speed Racer has in the whole movie. Mean-Spirited? How? You don't even explain how it is mean-spirited. I have taken a total of 16 friends to this movie and afterwards, I told them about how say it mean-spirited, They thought I was pulling their leg. FYI: two of my friends are doctors, one is a lawyer and the rest all have graduated college with 4 year degrees. Plus I'm a film major, so we aren't just a couple of idiot teens causing trouble. I just find it so amazing that critics can't enjoy this film, its sad really, cause its has the most family values and BELIEVABLE bad guys (cause of the crazy dialogue). I'm sad for you, cause you missed out!
