Nude Utah hiker faces indecent-exposure charge

Sounds like this guy was more of a flasher who took his hobby to the trails.
But you just know that Medicare or Medicaid is going to pay for his skin cancer treatment one of these days.
Should we file charges against National Geographic for all the magazines in print at the public libraries?
Or the "everyone knows a naked body means sexuality-- and that's dirty too!"
It's all in the eyes of the beholder, isn't it?
The best way to de-sexualize nudity is for everyone to have a naked day.
This has nothing to do with the human body being a dirty thing but it does have to do with respecting others. After all, if someone gets offended because a prayer is offered at a school, what is the difference if someone is offended by having to look at a wrinkly old man without clothes.
Are you sure? I'm not. I haven't seen either one of you. lol
Spring is finally here, let's all go for a romp in the hills. Remember this - we're all naked under our clothes. :o)
A thousand pardons Prude, but if I were a little kid hiking with MY parents and a naked old man came by riding a bike, I am quite sure the three of us would be laughing our (blanks) off!
Sorry to hear that would NOT be YOUR experience.
I guess I was raised a bit differently than you on such matters.
My wife says I'm buff and wouldn't mind seeing me riding through the wilderness in the buff which makes me laugh and laugh.
So I guess everything IS relative, isn't it?
Or maybe they could just relax. Nobody was harmed.
I was being sarcastic. I thought that was obvious. I suppose the obvious escapes some people.
And, m and others, pointing out that there are laws against nudity is, well, not particularly helpful to the debate. Though I suppose some people get a certain thrill out of stating the obvious. I think the real question is whether the law makes sense.
"I don't like it!!!!" does not define a crime.
And no, you DO NOT have a right to force others to conform to what you don't want your children to see.
By the way - Adam and Eve may have done much hiking in the nude, apparently Isaiah preached naked and barefoot for three years (Is 20:3); and I recall an apostle named Peter who was fishing "bare beanned and butt-nekkid" (direct quote) when the resurrected Saviour appeared to him.
The moralistic neocons love this.
The liberals feel it is nobody's business.
"I'm sixty-two, retired work out regularly, watch what I eat and weigh the same as I did in high school. As you can guess, I'm not from Utah."
How would I guess you're not from Utah from this? I know many 60 + men and women who meet this discription. Stop disrespecting Utah with your self flattery.
A member of my family is the assistant director of the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), but I have never heard of the ATFA... is it closely related? A quick google search turned up American Task Force Argentina, American Turkish Friendship Association, Alabama Treasure Forest Association and Australian Timber Flooring Association to name a few... perhaps someone could help me figure out which of these would be interested in an interstate nude hiker?
A thousand pardons, but it is common knowledge that Utah leads the nation with the amount of all-you-can-eat buffets, ice cream and candy consumption, and gross obesity.
All one has to do is put the words health, utah, government and obesity into their browser and get the official data for themselves.
Meanwhile lay off the junk food, go work out for a year and get back with me.
I don't have to see any of you naked for the sake of my mental sexual health. Give me a break! That's Ridiculous! Quite the opposite, actually.
In fact, my sacred nature is more precious precisely because those rights to viewing are kept more exclusive. While a viewing of your body forced on an unsuspecting audience has no value, because it is freely given. I'm sorry if you view your body as having no worth, but indecent exposure won't increase that. Most people will express displeasure. Unless you have their permission, the viewing actually comes at a cost to them, hence the reaction this man got. He is now less desirable than before he took his clothes off because no one wanted to see him naked.
To eye of the beholder,
You make me sick - I think I'll go get more chocolate.
The minds of some people however, are.
