"Boys are the greatest," what a wonderful point of view.
When my mother turned 50, 25 years ago,I congretulated her.
She replied:" You are the greatest disapointment of my life." When I asked her why she said:" Because you were not the expected boy."
Well today she is bedridden with Alzheimer and Parkinson and guess who looks regularly after her?
Her daughters? Our brother, her favourite child, keeps well out of the way. He last visited her at the beginning of March.(He is living about 10 miles away. Boys are really the greatest.
And don`t ask how I feel about her.

I'm sorry your mother was so awful to you. But how does that apply here? Boys and girls are different, and somebody put on a session about raising boys. Women's Conference puts on lots of different sessions, with different focuses. Some women are intimidated by raising a boy because there is such stress to do it right. They can seem to be a different species! How do we make sure they turn out a wonderful missionary, loving husband and father, good provider, and yes a thoughtful son etc. At least as women we understand girls better from the start - some of us anyway. Your mom seems to have messed up on both sides.

Garbage, I am a father of two girl's and two boys and both are the greatest in my life. None are better then the other. What are we living in the dark-ages?

I don't believe that God feels this way either. The Church don't teach this either. Never in my 45 years with the LDS church have I ever heard a word of boys being better and I bet this will be addressed.

I'll never understand why people fell they are better then someone ells, weather my sex's, race, religion, education, or states in life. We all put our pants on the same way. We al well be judged my God the same way, it don't matter who we my thank we are we are equal in the site of GOD.
