These have been some good thoughtful comments, I am registered, have been for 21 years. Class 4 felony Solicitation for sexual conduct with a minor, she was 19 but because of her mental state is concidered a minor. Do you know how many times in the last 21 years I have regreted that stupid act? Every day for 21 years. Every year I get to get a new drivers licence, to remind me of what a fool I was. They should have just executed me. I'm a grandpa now, and until I am dead this will never end. To any of you who have made bad choices in the past ie; fornication, adultry, abortion, stealing killing another driver while drunk, and so on, would you like to have a sarlet letter on your forehead for the rest of your life, so all could see how stupid your acted? Sadly we can'rt go back and erase our mistakes. I still wish I could. Knowing that the state hasn't forgiven me, keeps me from forgiving myself. I paid the debt.

There list is so messed up how accurate do you think it is? At this point it�s almost worthless.

If we're going to list every "sexual predator," how about adding the people who have broken up marriages through adultery?

Oh my goodness. I am the mom of a soon to be registered sex offender and anyone who meets him would love him. He's a good son, and a good kid. He got caught up in CHAT ONLY (never met her, he knew she was 15, but knew better than to meet her EVER, he knew THAT was illegal! But he didn't say "go away" online. Now he has to register when he gets out of prison. I will spend the rest of my life trying to get him off of that list because it'll ruin his life and he's too good of a person to have his life ruined by ONE mistake. I guess the ones that want the registry believe it works, check the facts. It does NO good at all. Our Constitution of America is being trampled upon and I didn't know that until my son got into trouble. Please people, look and really study what is going on. Next it'll be animal abusers, then unmarried people living together, the list could go on and on! Wake up, fight for America's Constitution. S.O.S. (Save Our Sons!)

There was once a case where a man went into a womans backyard and stole a pair of her under pants, and got caught doing so. Because of that, he is now a registered sex offender for life. Is that what the powers-that-be intended?

There are so many crimes that are committed that were never meant to cause a person to be on a sex offender registry. But we seem to live in a one-size-fits-all world where we don't differentiate between a rapist and a petty thief.

Somewhere, someone needs to stand up and say "enough".

Of course, have any of you actually looked at the list? I have. If you look up the individual, you'll see it states what each person did and what type of person they are a danger for. I can't see anything wrong with that.
