Darnit! Now I've got to throw away all those boxes of 0.6 percent dishwashing soap. That's money down the drain, literally.

Big Gov't

I still say that for every law these people pass, an old one should have to be taken off the books.

I agree with Big Gov't

How can anyone keep track of all these laws? Too many people want control or whine too much about petty issues.

Of course, the most important "rule" from this session won't come into force for over another year, if ever. And it was watered down so much as to be worthless. Oh, well.

Headlines we'll never see: "Utahns to enjoy 325 new freedoms." Or the somewhat more helpful, but equally unlikely "Legislature to dedicate entire session to thinning the statute books."

Utah Republicanism at work

325 more laws is another good example of government breathing down are necks. Could we please elect some democrats to balance our legislature! How much debate time do these laws get in a 6-week session love-fest? And when they are debated in committee and rejected, the corrupt Republican politicians find a way to pass these bad laws in the form of an omnibus bill.

Glad it's now a felony to beat animals, but still a misdemeanor to beat spouse or offspring.

Way to represent family values, Utah.

:-)

Republicans want to get government out of our lives and make government smaller. They are for less taxes.

Why do us liberals question your intelligence?

Some good and some bad

I like some of these but any Veteran with a purple heart gets free tuition? I know plenty of Veterans with purple hearts who felt that it was pretty small and dumb that they got it because they realize how small the medal can sometimes be.

No offense to people who were seriously injured or were serving and truly deserve it. I'm only saying that their now going to spend how much more money are we spending on this when our education is in the bottom of the nation for our children.

Who needs the money more, young kids who have an even scarier future every day than what we've had or a few veterans with purple hearts. I agree that Vets. need more in a lot of things. But as I know vets with P.H. and my dad does as well, I also know that plenty of them would rather see the money go to children's ed. before their own.

Well, if there are officially just a few weeks for Legislature to make laws.. what do they do with the rest of their time... ( take laws off the books? WE wish !! and how come of the 325 more laws we see only a handful..? ARE THESE THE HANDPICKED ONES THE PUBLIC MAY APPROVE?
why do legislators think that they have to make laws to earn their unconstitutional money.. ( the state shall make nothing but gold or silver payable for debts?) ( OATHE TO CONSTITUTION ?)they should be protecting the liberty of the people with family, not state , as the foundation and proper steward of family , innocent unless proven guilty in court of law, of serious moral infractions. and entitled to liberty and self governing. I THINK THE CITIZENS SHOULD UNITE TO IMPEACH MISREPESENTATIVES WHO VIOLATE THEIR OATHES OF OFFICE....

wow

I don't have any idea what they expect us to do with all of these rules, I mean what are we supposed to do, memorize all of them and recite them to every person we see?!? COME ON!!!!
