How many Hale Center Theatres does this state need?
I need a bigger house but the economy is doing badly. Would someone be willing to donate so I wouldn't be so cramped?
Cry me a river. What a pathetic article this is. An Oscar for patience? First off, theater in Utah doesn't have a chance when all the money from the Utah Arts Council goes to the Symphony. Or even worse, how about putting on a good or even great performance worth attending? Oh, that's right. If you had a bigger space you could put on a better show... There are plenty of theaters in Utah that are putting on excellent shows without the crybaby mentality of the Hale family.
Come on, let's all rally together, give them land and build them a facility with taxpayer money! (Then they can make the salaries that the family members in Salt Lake make.)
Theater Geek, calm down a bit. Clearly you don't offer your support, but there are plenty of Hale Theater fans who do, and we like to hear what's going on. Many people are waiting for the new theater, and hope for the best. The folks at Hale are fine people, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with their dream for a new theater that will accommodate more.
Not all the news in the paper needs to be custom-written for your tastes, T.G.
The Hale Center Theater in West valley is strongly supported by patrons. My assumption is the same is happening in further south and the Theater is turning away patrons because of lack of seating. As far as the comment "how many Hale Center Theaters" et cetera, well, how many Arby's or Burger Kings do we need? The answer is, as many as the populace will support. My wife is an enthusiastic Hale patron and I am sure there are many others.
They don't give Oscars for ANYTHING theatre related. That would be a Tony award. Who hires these reporters?
I will give them $10 of my hard-earned money if they promise to never install a revolving stage like the one in West Valley.
Why on earth would 9/11 have stopped the initial plans? Stupid excuse.
I still don't understand why people pay attention to this exploitative, trumped-up community theatre. Most ACTUAL actors in the SLC area only even audition for Hale as a filler possibility.
