Tad Walch: 9/11 theorist not curtailing his research
419 comments | Read story
I used to believe the "official" story of 9/11 as well as "official" history on a number of other things, until I actually did my research. Now, it's hard to know who to trust. I applaud those who are willing to expose truth that has been hidden.
"Zica, you're lying. The NIST report covers in detail the exact collapse mechanism. And Jones certainly didn't collect his samples 20 minutes after collapse. My earlier comment still stands."
On your first point, I stand corrected. You are right, and I even stated their explanations of the collapse. You were right when you said it was their model not their explanation that was limited. I was not lying, but incorrect.
That said, their explanation (pancaking), which even FEMA says could not have happened, has been refuted. You say they couldn't have possibly modeled the collapse because too many variables were in place. I still find this a convenient aversion to the fact that the towers quickly fell through the path of most resistence.
On your second point, there is a 12/15/07 video of Dr. Jones introducing the guys who collected dust that was also found to have the iron rich spheres (showing that there were temperatures involved that could not be from fires and chemical signatures of thermate.) They spoke on stage into the microphone and stated that they collected the dust within 20 minutes of the collapse.
There were multiple samples from multiple locations and all show it.
After 150 years of not being able to melt or produce steel, the Steel Mills in this country have gone out of business!.. Duh... Even the terrorists have admitted they did it.
Follow the money.
Who benefits?
Israel.
Pancaking isn't their explanation. The gist of what happened is that heat from the fires caused the floors to sag, which pulled the perimeter columns inward, until eventually the stress was to great and the remaining support simply failed.
"the towers quickly fell through the path of most resistence."
A bullet fired out of a gun at a target also goes through "the path of most resistance". I suppose you think the bullet should detour around the target?
Moving matter follows the path of least energy change, not the path of least resistance. Sometimes the two are the same, while at other times they're completely different. It would have taken much more energy for the falling mass to shift sideways than it did for it to buckle the floors directly underneath, ergo it fell downwards. Simple physics.
"They spoke on stage ... collected the dust within 20 minutes of the collapse."
I stand corrected - he claims his newest sample was collected 20 minutes after collapse. Regaurdless, his "evidence" is meaningless. It's the equivalent of finding gasoline at a car crash, and claiming that it's proof of arson.
The mass above each collapsed floor does not disappear. If floor 80 fails and falls to 79 two times the weight designed for the floor supports is now not just on floor 79, but hitting it. When that fails, the mass from floors 80 and 79 hit floor 78. Go down a few stories and you have the mass of 10, 20, 30, then 40 times the weight a floor is designed to hold hitting each floor below. Lower floors are absolutely pulverized by hundreds of thousands of tons of weight. The floors below collapsed by the weight slightly before the outside structure toppled into the middle. The compressed air and flying debris blew out windows as simply as air popping a balloon that is stepped upon.
Quick question for all you enlightened experts on the subject: If the desired result of 9/11 was war with Iran so that the Bush Administration could reap huge profits, why were the terrorists from Saudi Arabia?
Here's another: If there is any thread of evidence supporting an "inside job," why would Popular Mechanics put it's name on the line to denounce all the 9/11 conspiracy theorist crackpots?
OK, OK, one more- just for fun. If there is any thread of evidence supporting an "inside job," why aren't prominent Democrats (Clinton and Obama) jumping all over it? Seems like a smart thing to do right?
Anyting that moves into 9 times its mass and each even stronger than the original thing will likely be deflected or stopped. I didn't say take a detour around. To your knowledge, has a bullet ever ricochetted or do they always go straight through whatever they hit?
Do you think the wider core columns say down on floor 20 were heated enough to be that weak?
What kind of sagging are they basing their theory on? Is that realistic?
To To Humbly Yours,
I think you are incorrect in your statement about the strength of the core vs. the outer columns. I believe you'll find that the core columns bore most of the weight of the towers.
I take it you've never built a card castle?
Go make one, then knock over the top 5 cards. Let me know if it collapses straight down, or whether the top section is "deflected or stopped".
Obviously the type of collapse depends partly on the strength of the structure, but generally speaking they tend to come straight down. The WTC towers especially, due to their unique design, had to collapse in the way it did. Heck, even many controlled demolitions only blow the bottom few floors, and let gravity do the rest.
"Do you think the wider core columns say down on floor 20 were heated enough to be that weak?"
They didn't need to be - they were never meant to take that kind of force. It's just silly to suggest that the collapse could have miraculously stopped part way.
"What kind of sagging are they basing their theory on? Is that realistic?"
Metal, when heated, expands and loses strength. And there's plenty of photographic evidence which shows the bending of the perimeter columns prior to collapse.
The technology and method used was a state of the art pulvarizing explosive system that is used by specialized mining companies. Until Dr. Jones explains the explosive outputs that were necessary versus time and describes as I have done what kind of system could have accomplished this destruction he will have deaf ears listening.
I would ask, regarding your comment that the energy required to deflect the mass of the collapsing upper floors would be greater than the energy required for that same mass to pulverise its way through the massive bulk of undamaged structure beneath it - are you suggesting this is what happened? Because even if you accept the Official Conspiracy Theory, this is not in fact the case. The aircraft damage to the buildings (WTC1,2)was asymmetrical..this is reflected in the footage of the collapses - the upper floors of the south tower tilt precipitously (to the south east I think) before self pulverising into a massive pyroclastic cloud. It matters not whether this section of the building 'could have' smashed its way through a more massively built structure beneath it, what matters is that this did not happen. The upper floors were deflected, not by the mass beneath them - they were deflected by the asymetricality of the damage sustained initially. They could not have caused the collapse of the remaining structure because they began to atomize instantly, blowing outwards, not downwards.
Also, did you actually compare these buildings to Cards?
1. The mass of the towers was actually 317,500 tons or 635 millions pounds.
2. The mass of the 12 floors, roof, and antenna above the collapse initiation site at the 98th floor in WTC1 was 69 million pounds.
3. The area of the core columns where the collapse initiated at floor 98 of WTC1 was 2,645 sq. inches and the perimeter 3,682 sq. inches.
4. The core columns were made from 36,000 psi yield strength steel and in the aircraft impact areas the perimeter columns were 65,000 psi yield strength steel.
5. The unit stress was kept the same to eliminate warpage and was approximately 11,000 psi on each column, core and perimeter.
6. The factors of safety were over 3.00 to 1 for the central core and over 5.00 to 1 for the perimeter considering gravity loads only.
7. The gravity load sharing was 42% for the core and 58% for the perimeter.
8. Just 18 perimeter columns on each corner were capable of supporting the entire gravity load above them.
Two seconds? One second? Half a second?
One second? Then it took 110 seconds for each of the twin towers to collapse. But it only took 10 seconds according to seismic records, or 11-15 seconds according to videos.
47-story building 7 took only 6.5 seconds and it wasn't hit by a plane. Free-fall speed is about 6 seconds; so 47 stories only resisted for a total of 1/2 a second.
Near free-fall speeds of the three towers mean that lower floors gave way without resistance. Massive explosives are the only logical explanation.
Given the above and the structural details of my earlier comment: the remaining columns would have all had to reach 650 degrees C for collapse to even be possible. NIST has no physical evidence for these high temperatures on the small amount of steel they got and tested. Unfortunately, they got less than 1% of the fire affected area steel. Why?
If 18 perimeter columns on each corner can handle the entire gravity load then how would some inwardly pulled perimeter columns in the center of the tower lead to global collapse?
They initiated at the 98th floor of WTC1 and the 82nd floor of WTC2.
So much for the how would the demolition charges have survived the impact debunking point. I am sure many do not realize this important fact.
The 'outside shell' was designed to take the brunt of any horizontal forces (hurricanes, airplanes etc).
The load-bearing was achieved by 47 tapering core columns which were 4.5 feet wide where they entered the bedrock.
Do try to at least get the basics right before posting.
Go make one, then knock over the top 5 cards. Let me know if it collapses straight down, or whether the top section is "deflected or stopped"."
Better still, set the bottom cards into 70 feet of bedrock. Oh, and make the lowest cards up to eight times the thickness of the top ones.
Then see whether the top section is "deflected or stopped".
Your analogy is deeply flawed, I'm afraid.
Mind you that EVEN if people are saying that the U.S. is purely innocent. WE.... WE!! the United States put Saddam in power.... so even the supporters of Bush don't get what their talking about.
"NIST estimated the elapsed times for the FIRST EXTERIOR PANELS to strike the ground after the collapse initiated in each of the towers to be approximately 11 seconds for WTC 1 and approximately 9 seconds for WTC 2. These elapsed times were based on: (1) precise timing of the initiation of collapse from video evidence, and (2) ground motion (seismic) signals recorded at Palisades, N.Y., that also were precisely time-calibrated for wave transmission times from lower Manhattan (see NCSTAR 1-5A)."
This is the FIRST PART of NIST's answer, and it makes clear that NIST is not saying that the towers PROPER fell in 9 & 11 seconds. Yet, Jones leaves it out, apparently deliberately.
Why? It seems highly relevant, and seems to render his concerns about free-fall rather irrelevant.
These controlled explosives devices were carried into the building in staple/paper clip boxes and placed in each corner of the offices that blew out? Or were they placed in brief cases and put into the womens rest rooms? The electric controlled primer devices were installed the day before the two planes hit the buildings, because you don't want electric controlled primer devices to be shaken or stirred, they might go off too soon.. It is so clear I could write a book called 'HOW TO BLOW UP BIG BUILDINGS FOR DUMMIES.' ... SHEEEESH.
1) There is zero evidence of any explosives at ground zero.
2) There is nothing unusual about the fashion in which the buildings collapsed.
3) 7 years after the event, the 9/11 "truth" movement still can't come up with an alternate theory that makes any sense.
Which is the reason why no credible experts will have anything to do with you people. Out of the hundreds of thousands of structural engineers in the US, you have what, maybe 5 on your side? Everyone else thinks you're nuts.
Wow. I was just about to say how much I appreciated your willingness to keep discussing the issues.
Next time you use "crazy" or "loony" or whatever else in your verbal speech, make sure I'm not in your immediate vicinity. It really disgusts me.
Take your bullet into a house of cards theory and give yourself a good cleansing.
Run away! Run away!
Nobody will EVER take you NUT JOBS seriously!
What a joke!
Still, there are possible ways to do that. With TriData the inner circle of the main suspects got all the plans and maps of the building, even the most vunerable things presented on a plate. With Securacom they got access to the buildings, as this Bush/Saudi-connected company installed some kind of computer-security. With masked renovations, e.g. some part of false maintanance or elevator company work you got access to the inner core.
And BTW. what's about the never adressed false company of Magic Plumbing and Heating as contractor for Denko, whose worker Sakher Hammad had a basement level pass for 9/6 and said he done the sprinkler but according to the PA no such company has a contract to work on it?
Ya, Right! If you believe this tripe, you deserve the "Kook" label! Please, don't disgrace the fallen any further with this trash! Wacko Terrorists flew hyjacked planes into large buildings, causing them to fall. That's it.
Now, please return to your MLM scams!
An excellent big-picture look at 9-11 is Crossing the Rubicon by Michael Ruppert. Ruppert, a former detective, addresses 9-11 as a homicide investigation. There are citations for all evidence, so you can check original sources.
The issue of "official" drug-running is also usefully covered by Daniel Hopsicker in Barry and the Boys.
The Long Emergency by James Howard Kunstler covers the energy crisis. At his website as well, he writes beautiful prose about unpalatable truths.
Those who doubt the REAL conspiracists' ability to cover up plots, read Day of Deceit by Robert Stinnett (copyright 2000). Stinnett secured documentary evidence that information about Japan's coming attack on Pearl Harbour was withheld from the commander there, Admiral Kimmel. Roosevelt implemented an 8-point plan to force Japan into war, but needed to allow Japan to make the first move so he could get public support.
In 1995, a Congressional inquiry once again failed to get at the truth of Pearl Harbour because the cover-up still continued.
The 9-11 truthseekers like Dr Jones are courageous. Naysayers, do not let your fear of the unknown make you cowards.
Important; this is the specific form of thermite for which we find unreacted residue remaining in the WTC dust, as I reported at SDSU in April 2008 (last month). I discussed the evidence in this University setting, now I and colleagues are writing up our results for publication in the peer-reviewed literature.
I do hope that NIST will talk to us about these evidences -- as we requested in our paper in the Open Civil Engineering Journal. In any case, we have the compelling evidence in hand and we are preparing to publish these new results.
Professor Jones has an interesting theory, and certainly he can round up some facts and additional theories to support his theory, but to believe an extraordinary claim in the absence of extraordinary evidence is lunacy. Here's an example of his flawed logic: "To prove I really believe what I say I won't take a penny from my efforts to prove my theory." Facts stand on their own, and Jones's credibility or lack thereof cannot compete with, counteract or support facts. His dogged determination to spend his family's fortune to maintain his credibility is ridiculous.
I'm not expecting anything from you right now. Obviously, calling "truthseekers" kooks and nutjobs suits you. Eventually you will see the truth.
I KNOW that 911 was an inside job. As time goes on, you will need bigger and bigger doses of self -delusion to maintain your "Happy State of Denial"
When the Jews were taken to the "showers" they were given bars of soap and towels. Then the doors were shut and the gas was turned on. Don't underestimate the determination and capability of evil to carry on a deception for an extended time.
Ever watched a candle burn?
Ever heard of a house burning after a lightening strike?
Take a piece of paper. Hold it in your hand, vertically, then light the top edge. Please report your findings.
"The buildings fell..... | 12:33 p.m. May 4, 2008
Because of Physics, pure and simple. There were no explosions, no steel melted, only weakened by the sheer pressure of the buildings and the jet fuel. The buildings coming down were enormous destructive forces that destroyed much in close proximity, including, after several hours, Tower 7. That is not simplistic nor unreasonable. Those towers were two of the largest manmade structures on the planet. It is simplistic and unreasonable to ignore the mass of physical law in play that day.
God Bless the victims of 9/11 and their families. The tide of terrorists and conspiracy nuts needs to be kept back.
We will never forget."
LOL...
THANK YOU FOR THE BEST LAUGH I'VE HAD TODAY.
I'VE PRINTED JONES PAPER AND GIVEN IT TO SOME TEACHERS, SCIENTISTS, DOCTORS, CARPENTERS ETC..
AND THEY AGREED WITH ITS UNQUESTIONABLE CONCLUSION OF EXPLOSIVE DEMOLITION.
ANYTHING OTHER POSSIBILITY HAS A
1 IN 30,000,000,000,000 OF HAPPENING.
You would be a foolish man to take that bet.
pow? what Pow?
As Marvin the Martian said: "where's the Earth Shattering KABOOM?"
I don't recall any loud "Pows"
The technology and method used was a state of the art pulvarizing explosive system that is used by specialized mining companies. Until Dr. Jones explains the explosive outputs that were necessary versus time and describes as I have done what kind of system could have accomplished this destruction he will have deaf ears listening. - - - -
There must have been a lot of deaf ears in Manhatten that day, since no one heard these "explosive outputs."
"Speed of gravity?"
I suggest that your parents get their money back from whatever schools they paid to educate you. Said schools, obviously failed quite miserably.
The mass of 1/10 is simply not as great as the mass of the other 9/10ths below it - PERIOD!"- - - -
Mass has nothing to do with the structural integrity of the building - PERIOD!
9/11 was an inside job. All the evidence indicates that. All the naysayers have to offer is insults and name-calling.
Where's the Earth shattering KABOOM?
Dennis, you do realize that the fires continued to burn underground at the site for months afterward, don't you?
It is notoriously difficult to put out underground fires. Wittnes the fact that underground coal fires burn for decades, even centuries.
- - - NIST has no physical evidence for these high temperatures on the small amount of steel they got and tested. Unfortunately, they got less than 1% of the fire affected area steel. Why? - - - -
Since you were not there to verify that more than 1% was identifiable and recoverable, your question has no meaning.
- - - If 18 perimeter columns on each corner can handle the entire gravity load then how would some inwardly pulled perimeter columns in the center of the tower lead to global collapse? - - -
18 perimeter columns held up the entire gravity load? What cereal box did you read that from?
- - - 47-story building 7 took only 6.5 seconds and it wasn't hit by a plane. Free-fall speed is about 6 seconds; so 47 stories only resisted for a total of 1/2 a second. - - -
Why are you ignoring the collapse of the two penthouses? These collapses started 8.2 seconds BEFORE the global collapse began. Therefore, according to your logic, there was 8.7 seconds of resistance by the building to collapse.
Isnt that enough time for you?
- - - I'VE PRINTED JONES PAPER AND GIVEN IT TO SOME TEACHERS, SCIENTISTS, DOCTORS, CARPENTERS ETC.. AND THEY AGREED WITH ITS UNQUESTIONABLE CONCLUSION OF EXPLOSIVE DEMOLITION. - - -
Wow, carpenters also.
Did you read the paper yourself? If you did, you would know that Jones did not reach an unquestionable conclusion of explosive demolition.
The conclusion he did reach We have enumerated fourteen areas where we are in agreement with FEMA and NIST in their investigations of the tragic and shocking destruction of the World Trade Center. Does not support that interpretation at all.

No, it's a incendiary pyrotechnic. And it's not used for demolition. Period, full stop.
"The latest samples were collected on 9/11 itself."
That's a lie. Jones himself states that:
"Sample 1 was collected from inside the Potter Building located at 38 Park Row in New York City. It was collected by a Ph.D. scientist on 9/14/2001, just three days after the 9/11/2001 and before any major steelcutting operations had begun at ground zero."
and
"Sample 2 was collected by Jeannette MacKinlay about a week after 9/11/2001, from inside her apartment at 113 Cedar St./110 Liberty St., New York City."
Please stop lying.
