Think again. Look at Englands problem. They still have the high illegal drug rate, and at one time they gave the drug away free to registered users.
Did not work. Will not work here either.

I've seen what meth does to the behavior of users--it changes the brain, and making it legal won't change that part of it at all! Besides watching the dehumanization of behavior with two of my children, I probably worked with 200 adult probation volunteers--none of whom were permanently able to function healthily in society and all of whom would have loved legalization.
My son saw 5 year olds with their brains gone from drug use in Medellin and Cali, Colombia, and Holland's experience with legalization has been a failure. Societies which have traditionally used marijuana and hashish are known for their poverty and disease--drug use isn't healthy! Not for individuals and not for societies.
