Sadly, I don't believe that all those accidental overdoses were accidental. I was a cop for a long time and saw many of them. It is certainly kinder to the families of the victims to list them as accidental. It makes no difference to the victim.

I have never done well with prescription drugs. I have always had horrible side effects, even to the point of being hospitalized. I finely decided to go to a couple natural doctors that I know. The natural doctors don't have quick cures or fixes and they mainly they use herbs and nothing that covers up the real illness or problem. Most of the herbal formulas that I have taken have helped me feel much better then what I ever felt taking all the prescription drugs prescribed to me, and with no side effects. The 3 natural doctors that I have gone to have never said there was any cures, but only that I could feel better and perhaps heal on my own someday by taking care of my body through good health practices. I will never take another prescription drug if I can help it. They scare me. I doubt that most medical doctors even have a scientific background on knowledge of the prescription drugs they prescribe.

You are right. Many of those are suicides - antidepressant-induced suicides. After starting on antidepressants patients generally begin using pain killers due to the various pains that come as side effects of the antidepressants (like fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc.). Once they begin mixing the antidepressant with a pain killer they are really in trouble due to the interactions of these drugs and more likely to be suicidal as a result. Prescription drugs are BY FAR this country's worst drug problem - the third leading causse of death in America - killing as many every week as we lost at 911! Go to drugawareness.org to learn more about this. And few doctors have any knowledge of the drugs they are prescribing since they only get one short class in med school on them.
