'Idol' judge left 'empty' by song that wasn't

It's been reported earlier this year that American Idol judges sometimes watch and encourage participants in practice sessions and rehearsals. Obviously the judges often have their minds made up before the actual performance. And how many of you know that American Idol's clips at the end of each performance show are not clips of the actual performance but of a rehearsal performance? The whole show is phony. I'm not cynical enough to think that the voting is phony, too, because that would require a massive conspiracy, but some critics think it is.

I find it interesting that when Simon says someone might have trouble, they end up getting the boot. Last week he said it to Carly. Yesterday it was Syesha, who incidentally got the highest score on dial idol dot com. We'll find out if she gets the boot tonight. If so, I might start looking at that phony voting angle.
