Great Attitude! Best Wishes for a successful career in the NFL Bryan!
Great Kid But... | 10:22 a.m. April 26, 2008
Kehl - why would you publically disparage a potential employer (Dallas Cowboys)? How about - I grew up a 49ers fan but would love to go to any NFL team? Also, the Utahn/Mormon comment was pretty generalizing as a whole lot of good Utahs and Mormons don't love BYU or former BYU players like Steve Young. Also, hopefully your friend's wedding doesn't turn into Kehl draft day with tvs all over the place. I'm sure the bride would love that as a memory on her wedding day. Sorry to be so negative as I loved watching Kehl and hope he has a nice NFL career but I seriously was surprised by a few comments.

Bryan, good luck! Thanks for representing the LDS Church and BYU with integrity, class, and superb athleticism.

Bryan, I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for your excellence on and off the field. You were not only the studliest linebacker BYU has ever had, you represented the university and the church with style and class.
Thank you and good luck in the NFL. I'm sure you'll have a bright future. We will miss you!
Go cougs!
The Cowboys are evil | 12:14 p.m. April 26, 2008
Kehl's a good guy and represents his family, church, and school well.

Go ahead and disparage the Cowboys. It is not as if you are an Apple user, and PC hater and have an interview with Hewlett Packer. Besides the Cowboys are the Great Abominable.

This is such a great post. I loved the honesty, and the post had a feel to it like Bryan was just flowing out his ideas and his thoughts, not really caring what anyone else thought. Remember too that he said he hated the cowboys, not that he hates the cowboys. The guy who commented here that he was surprised about a few comments and was so negative needs to lighten up. It's not about being PC or trying to find ways that offense could be taken. Those comments were easy, cheap shots in my opinion. We need more people like Bryan out there...the world would be a whole lot better with the honesty he displayed in his post, and football would be a whole lot better with more players like him. We'll miss you Bryan! Good luck...we'll be following whatever team you end up going with.

Jong: are you saying the Church needs superb athletes to represent them?
Kool Aid | 1:15 p.m. April 26, 2008

Bryan - I'm not sure how any good Utah/Mormon could be a 49s fan since the games are mostly played on Sunday when good Mormons should be focused on more important things.

Good luck Brian. If you don't go til the 4th round it will be ok.
Former Coug | 1:48 p.m. April 26, 2008
I guess I wasn't a 'good mormon' I thought Bronco sressed education and integrity...well that's not what I got from his comments. Stop making former BYU plauers cringe with ignorant comments.
jonathon_brown | 3:04 p.m. April 26, 2008
Good luck! We will truely miss you. You are what BYU athletics are all about. I look forward to watching you play in the NFL wherever you go!

Brian will go higher than he might think with his size and speed. The NFL is about speed anymore, even the QB'S can run now. Beck runs a 4.6 or 4.7. I was glad to see Miami show some confidence in him by passing the Boston College quaterback and taking the lineman long. Maybe he won't have to run for his life this fall.

Are you really shocked by his comments? When hasn't brian kehl spoke his mind. He's just honest.
Icarus | 5:33 p.m. April 26, 2008
Pretty standard narcissistic ramblings from an athlete. I guess he'll make a good football player. But please don't make his writing available to the public anymore. Please.

Let a person be human once in a while. Good luck Bryan.

To all the haters of this article, Kehl doesn't have to be politically correct anymore. He'll be a pro and he can say whatever he wants about other professional teams. I for one appreciate the honesty and openness of his words. It makes him seem like a normal person instead of a "talking head". If he would have said all the right things, it would be too easy to characterize him as "plastic".
Chill out | 3:21 a.m. April 27, 2008
Can't believe people are taking his comments so seriously. It's obviously all in good fun. He would be thrilled to play for Dallas or any other NFL team. And of course he's not serious when he says good Mormons have to cheer for the 49ers. I can't believe the emotions out there.

Overrated. Might be able to contibute on special teams for a few years before drifting out of the league.
Are you serious? | 7:24 a.m. April 27, 2008
Who at DN dislikes Bryan Kehl so much as to allow him to make such a fool of himself. Yes he'll be a millionaire once he's officially drafted, but it looks like he'll be a rather dumb millionaire with comments like that. Hopefully Bryan reads these comments and learns from his mistakes. Best of luck Bryan in the NFL.
Re: Former Coug | 12:04 p.m. April 27, 2008
We are all cringing at your lack of spelling ability. No former BYU player gets on DN and makes negatives posts about successful outgoing players.
for the peanut gallery | 1:10 p.m. April 27, 2008
I doubt "Former Coug" had a 4.0gpa in high school and was academic all-MWC like Kehl was. This should be treated more as a weblog than an article. He wrote it the morning of the draft right before he went to a wedding. Who cares what he says in DN, anyway? Worry about someone who actually has real off-the-field issues. Bryan is an exemplary student-athlete who has a tremendous upside with his big frame, speed, and work ethic. Good Luck with the Giants!
james | 5:39 p.m. April 27, 2008
kehl is a funny dude. i'm glad he went so late in the draft--after a utah state player! maybe this will deflate his ego and help him work hard on the field

I met Bryan today at Giants Stadium. He was a lovely person. You shouldn't be so hard on people.
