I think that's AWESOME!! I'm a huge Donny O. fan and I always watched
their show in the 70's. I think that's great!! Way to go!!

I will always remember Marie Osmond as a genuine, generous soul. Years ago she
performed in a TV program "Christmas at the White House," when Ronald
Reagan was President and I was playing in the orchestra. During a lull in the
rehearsals she came by to thank us orchestra musicians for our efforts. In my
long career, I've seen few star performers do that.

Well, whole topic of Las Vegas and the sin city it is aside, this will add some
light to the darkness there and provide a great alternative to the many
distasteful and immoral acts that are headlining there. (Yes I've been
there).

Those who sit here "IN JUDGEMENT" should see if they live in Glass
Houses! Who and what gives you the right to judge these fine upstanding people
for doing what they love in a Casino with a "Show Stage" to entertain
people? I didn't see that the article was about Donny & Marie
headlining as Black Jack Dealers, or Texas Holdem' dealers did anyone else?
They are going to sing and have a show at some of the best "Show
Houses" in Las Vegas! BYU plays in the Vegas Bowl Playing FOOTBALL, should
they boycott the Vegas Bowl because there are casinos there? SHUT UP YOU!

I love it. Two Mormons performing in a casino and raking in the dirty cash. Can
you say hipocrisy? Kind of reminds me of Steve Young, who took the optional ESPN
sportcaster job that requires him to work Sundays. Oh boy, and these people are

Yes, I think they will do well. Las Vegas is really in need of decent
entertainment. As far as Mormons, duh, Las Vegas was settled by Mormons. In
addition, the wonderful Gladys Knight has lived in Henderson and worked in Las
Vegas for some time. I guess some people go to Vegas with only one thing on
their minds. Too bad, Las Vegas really has more than just smut to offer.

Who cares what the naysays say on the message board about the Osmonds. They are
grownups and can do what they think is best for their careers. There's
nothing wrong with entertaining in Las Vegas, regardless of what anti-gamblers,
LDS cheapshot artists may think or say to the contrary. There have been many
LDS entertainers who have performed in gambling meccas over the years. WHO
CARES!! The Osmonds will do far more good in providing a more wholesome option
for entertainment in a sleasy environment. The girly half-clad part will
probably not be part of the shows. I didn't particularly enjoy the Miss
USA co-hosting job done by Donny and Marie. I just don't think the beauty
pageants are that great anymore. The contestants are far too scimpily clad, and
are just being controlled by less than moral people. The judges on that
particular pageant were just atrocious, and unqualified, including several
counterculture weirdos in my opinion.
All in all, the Osmonds can do what they want....what they are doing is not evil and is not hypocritical.
Also, get off of Steve Young's back....that's manure.

Fantastic news that Donny and Marie are starring in Vegas ,2 people who are GENUINE stars , and truly DECENT , like ALL of the Osmond family , I think that the people who speak badly of any of the Osmonds are themselves jealous of what the Osmonds have achieved and are STILL achieving !

To all those who oppose the atmosphere that the Osmonds will be playing at, take
a good look in the mirror. I'm sure the majority of you "nay
sayers" have attended Jazz games, and lo and behold they sell BEER at ESA!
Ever seen the attire of the Nu-Skin dancers? Most of those girls are LDS.
President Hinckley didn't have a problem with Las Vegas when he dedicated
our Temple, and he gave an outstanding talk at a regional conference here, held
at the Thomas & Mack center, where my family and I sat underneath a Coors
Light sign. Remember the "in the world but not of the world passage"?
I've lived in Las Vegas for 25 years, and have NEVER entered a casino to
gamble. The casinos offer outstanding buffets, and with 8 kids, it's a
great value. There are movie theaters, bowling alleys,and outstanding
productions of great moral fiber held at event centers at these Hotel/Casinos.
If you knew Las Vegas, you would also know you can attend these events without
ever stepping on a casino floor. So, if you come to Vegas and find yourself in a
casino, it's because YOU CHOSE to be there.

Finally a show worth spending the high money on in Las Vegas - about time! What
a treat this will be - a SUPERSTAR show that we can bring our kids to and one
that we can all enjoy together. Leave it to the wonderful Osmonds to make it
happen - off to buy tickets right now!

I think that it is sad that some nice people want to put on a show; entertain
and otherwise give a nice evening to people and they are put down or made fun
of. For crying out loud in the words of Thumper "Say something nice or

I'm very excited to be able to see a decent show while in Vegas attending
conferences.
Donny is a class-act, and puts on great shows. The fact that he can have a concert or show that people of all ages enjoy is a rarety today. Grandparents, Parents and Children all know Donny from his work as a child on the Andy Williams show, his teenage successes, his rock and roll in the 90's and his Broadway stage work. He continues to re-invent himself and is someone other entertainers should emulate.
This is what we need more of in today's society where kids play video games and get points for shooting, robbing, and such.
No, I am not a Morman; and I don't judge people by their religious beliefs. I do, however, judge people by their actions and Donny has had my respect for a long time.
As far as Dancing with the Stars - I loved it.
For those of you putting down experiencing depression, I suggest you walk in Marie's shoes for a day - you wouldn't make it.

Joanie just to say I will never get tired of D & M and as for too old, I can't speak for Marie (apart from I wish I could move and looked like her) but you obviously have never been to a Donny Osmond concert.
I was in LV 2 years ago had loads of fun, laughs and brilliant entertainment and never gambled a cent.

Gosh, I lived in Vegas and it was a great experience, in fact...I can't
wait to move back. The LDS population is incredible there. Coming back to Utah
after living there was very hard, and I won't go into details...but there
are a lot of examples of why right here on this page.

I lived in Sparks Nevada for 25 years and have lived in Utah for almost 23- more
hypocrisy in Utah for sure. Casinos have their place and have never had any
control or say on how I live my life. As for the Osmonds, they have heard the
same type of comments for years- too smarmy, sugary, too mormonie, etc. I
challenge you to sometime sit down with a good recording of 'Let Me
In', turn it up, and listen to the most amazing god given harmonies you
will ever hear- perfectly matched and tuned- should bring a tear to your eye at
how gifted they were - and are. Look in the mirror folks....

There is plenty of wholesome entertainment in Vegas - you just have to look for
it. Celine Dion sold out for 3 years. She's as wholesome as you can
get.

There is a huge population of LDS people in Las Vegas, and probably there is
good reason for such. It is very interesting how strong both worlds are visiable
in there. Bringing in another entertainment act that isn't about flashing
the flesh could only be a more positive boost.

I met Marie a few years ago, and as attractive as she is on TV, she is much
lovelier in person. The burden of stardom would be difficult to shoulder for
anyone, prone to moodiness or not.
You could count the number of "normal" people in the entertainment industry on one hand and still have fingers left over. I welcome their wholesomeness.
I wish Donnie and Marie well and just hope they effect a change on Las Vegas and not the other way around.

I'm sure Donny & Marie will put on a great show! I got to see them
perform at the Marriot Center in provo Utah almost 30 years ago,The whole family
performed they were great! Lookout vegas- here comes real entertainment the
whole family can enjoy!!!

Donny is the ONLY reason I'll be going to Vegas. I am sure the show will
be great. I wish them the best of luck with this new venture, and I'm sure
I'll be making several trips to see them while they are there!
