Comments about ‘FLDS backers demonstrate before Jazz game’

Wish I could have been with you in protest of the outrageous, unbelieveable, injustice to FLDS in Texas. I too wave a flag against the frightening system that sends macho, unfeeling, rangers in to tear up the lives of innocent women and children. Is there no other way? Where is wisdom, with creative, sensitive, solution? If there is a rat or two in the house, need we burn it all down with women and children too? This is barbaric! and should speak deeply to the security of us all.

I would never demonstrate for the racist flds. Their entire lifestyle is illegal, polygamy-illegal,
underage marrriage-illegal, welfare fraud-illegal, fathers not supporting their children-illegal, racism-not illegal, but more akin to the KKK than to any christian church I am aware of.

Lots of hyperbole. Comparisons to the Civil Rights abuses of the 60's may be valid. Comparisons to the Holocaust are ludicrous. Statements like that bring into question everything else the person claims.

I can't believe these protesters aren't down in Texas. Utah has nothing to do with it. Basketball has nothing to do with it. It is just the easiest and cheapest way for these idiots to get in the paper and on TV.

And if these idiots are going to be around for the entire playoffs, I'm not going to be happy.

I don't necessarily disagree with the protest or what they are protesting. However I found it interesting that the majority of the protestors were teenagers who couldn't give a good reason as to why they were protesting. Many of the teenagers moved to the southeast corner of the Energy Solutions Arena block. I stopped and had a cordial conversation with them. I wanted to know why they were there and none of them could give me an intelligent answer. If you are going to protest, please don't participate unless you are doing it for a reason and not just to have fun with your friends or just because some adult told you to come.

Audacity!! What incredible audacity!! I wish I was at the Jazz game so I could ask the protesters some questions.

In a way, this case is good. It is good to know how some orgs. try to spin things. It is good to know how many polygamists are busy protecting their secret system.

The attorney reminds me an ambulance chaser. Do your work in court, advocate, and leave the streets to the protesters. Court, law, etc., is where your profession does its work.

Well, unless you are being paid to spin things. In that case, go out there and be a fool about things. The money must be good, counselor.

Good for the protest

i think these protesters are right, they have something to protest about. freedom and justice for all what happened to that? what happened to all the rights that we had when we first became a country? did we just push them aside because some one didn't like them? these people have the freedom of speech and the freedom of RELIGION. This is NOT the America that I learned about in history. Let the children go back to their families.
