"Of course everybody knows what we're doing," he said. "Coach (Jerry Sloan) has been calling the same plays since 1927."

That is hilarious.

Move On

There were several bad calls against the Jazz(no calls also)so lets just move on, it's just typical NBA stripes and their inconsistent calls. Whinning is a weakness so let the Rockets cry--we just need to let it go, and get ready for tonight.

Bud Dickman

All I know is that the officiating in that game was so inconsistent and very poor. The refs would swallow their whistles for minutes at a time and things would get very physical, but then out of the blue Houston or Utah would get called for some mystery or weak foul. Just call it consistently.

I was intrigued McGrannys statement at the press table. His whining included to the effect of " he flopped , terrible call, he flopped " How would T-Smack know ? He was catching the ball and swinging it way to the other side of the court ! McGrannys and his crocodile tears betray the fact that he couldn't even see the play, as he was in the corner catching the ball from the left side off the three point line all the way across court to the right side of the three point line.

I think that if the Jazz has the game on ice send in AK on the backside to block his shot and FEZ to get a few fouls up front. Let the ' " Red Menace "' have a go at him and shake the milk in his cocoanut at the end of the game. Fez has 6 fouls to give, let him use them up in 3 minutes, then PepeScola can honestly not complain , they were fouls. He could be as lost as a sock in the dryer in game four. I say give 'em something to cry about ! " Did that one Hurt ? or oops, my bad. "

Dave

if it were that simple to stop don't you think someone would have figured out a way by now to do it? There are numerous options off every play Jerry calls and DWill and Boozer each have several options off of each one as well so they may call the same play twice and the shot comes from different players at different locations on the floor.
Battier is decent and sure he might be able to call out the play, but they still have to try and stop Deron and they haven't figured it out yet.

Refs are for Losers

If my team had lost, I would be all over the refs.

But my team won. Winning is more fun than whining.

Poor Officiating

The ref's are the worst part about the NBA, and this series has been no different. Look at the points in paint and the free throw's taken by each team.

The Jazz won in Houston despite playing 8 on 5, the Jazz refused to lose.

I believe that as long as the games are called even the Jazz can beat anyone anywhere. I'm a little nervous about the calls and the ref's if the Jazz play LA in the next round. Kobe gets more help than queen on her wedding night.

Moto X

Just speaks volumes about Sloans offense. Everyone/team/player/opposing coach knows its coming and yet mysteriously very few teams can stop it.

In fact--teams can't really stop it. They only stop our players who occasionally lack the commitment to run our plays and stick with the offensive sets. In fairness to our players, I am sure it is not so easy to be so disciplined all the time but at least they have a winning philosphy to work with.

Our offense partially makes up for not being able to get "the best" talent here in small market Utah. Don't get me wrong, we have talent but we don't see the Shaq/Kobe/LeBron/Duncan type talents floating around town. We have D-Will and he is top tier but the rest are not at that level.

I watched the Flakers/Nuggs game last night and the lack of any legitimate offensive/defensive stategy by the Nuggs is just disgusting. Carmelo destroys that team with his selfish isolation plays and his inability to make any effort to involve team mates. Total waste of talent. Camby dribbling the ball down the floor and slinging up shots from outside. Deplorable!!!

I am very grateful for what we have here.

Go Jazz!!!

It's not so easy to stop a play if the players doing the play are that good.
Larry Bird used to tell the opposing team exactly what he was going to do, and then he'd do it.

As for the rockets and their crying...I have never seen one call get so much press. This is really going beyond ridiculous. Skola reached out and made contact. That is a illegal. End of story.

Amen

Going to the game tonight and can't wait to be part of a raucious crowd that helps the home team win.

I also watched the Nuggets play last night and noticed the same thing. The Jazz are a much funner team to watch than the Nuggets. Every time Melo gets the ball, he either backs the defender down and tries to shoot over them or he takes a quick outside jump shot. Terrible team basketball and terrible to watch. Even though the Jazz have run the same offense the last however many years, at least they play as a team and get it to the open man. Go Jazz....close out in 4!!

GAME3

GAME 3 is where rox offense will shine, the Defense has stopped the jazz. rox jsut didnt have enough facilatators. now taht alston is back, the whole game will change. GAME 3 is houstons.

TOO MUCH PRESS? because it was a bad call. THATS WHY EVERYONE's TALKING ABOUT IT. not jsut the rockets fan, BUT EVERYONE.

no title for JAZZ EVER by the way they play. even if they get to the finals, someone like MJ will beat the jazz with ease. NeXT TIME JAZZ GOES TO THE FINALS, LEBRON WILL TAKE THEM OUT

jazz Fan

The jazz are amazing they will Bet the Rockets tonight With D-will and Boozer They will be unstopable

Re:Game 3

So I hear everything is bigger in Texas. Apparently not the focus placed on the importance of spelling though. If you are going to talk trash, at least spell check. Keep up the great comments though, I always look forward to a good laugh.

Loseton Rockets

Uh, funny how Scola is complaining about flopping. For every flop Kerilinko does, he does about fifteen.

Re: jazz Fan

Unstoppable until they get to the next round...

JazzFan8

Complain as it may happen flopping has SADLY become part of the game. Every player does it. Sometimes, however, the flop comes at a more opportune time than others for attention. There were other calls that should have been called such as every time Scola straight-armed pushed someone from everywhere on the court. The travel on Williams towards the end of the game was crap. No matter how you slice it, though, Jazz fans a win is a win. Let's hope Utah does not have a letdown tonight. Protect the home floor and this series is over!

Re: Loseton Rockets

Scola didn't complain (probably because he knows he flops too), he was actually the only member of the rockets to say that they cant blame the loss on the refs.

Everyone was complaining about AK's flop, but why has no one mentioned the shoulder that Aaron Brooks gave Williams that knocked him to the floor?! What a cheap shot!

Anonymous

I agree, with the last comment. Even if AK flopped, the Jazz deserved a makeup call for Brooks foul of DWill. There was no flop involved there...DWill was thrown to the floor!
