It's great to hear the team still sounding hungry. I'm hoping they're hungry enough to pull off a win against an improving Toronto side at BMO.

Best of luck to Alex too. Getting quality minutes like this is a great way to season a (current) reserve player.

I just hope that RSL crushes Toronto. It would kill all the momentum if we lost to them or even tied with them.

What a difference Dema has made! Looking forward to Saturday.

I'm loving the depth of this team. Last year if Talley had struggled, who would've stepped in, Atiba Harris? Sturgis was great on Saturday, and I love that it's Talley's job to try to win a spot back.

I think the first 20 minutes at BMO field will be crucial. The crowd will be insane, and we have to keep our composure. We have to maintain posession and close down Guevara and Cunningham. I think we will create some good chances, we just need to finish them.

Whoa that is cool! I had no idea Salt Lake had a team.

I love the workmanlike attitude on the team this year - it has a definite blue collar feel. Games like this one (@ Toronto) will be huge if the playoff hunt looms in the future. It's a bit of bad luck that RSL drew the home opener in the league's noisiest stadium, but this is still a winnable game for RSL. I hope they keep their focus, don't take Toronto for granted, come out with intensity and take the crowd out of it early.
take a note | 2:33 p.m. April 16, 2008
RSL fans need to take a note from the toronto fans. they cheer, sing, chant, etc. why dont we RSL fans do that? I love the season ticket holders that sit in the north east part of the stadium. They are a total riot and fun to sing along with. I bet if the fans learned some songs/chants then the players would love it. Its just a suggestion, if you dont like it then dont sing, but dont shoosh those who do. Its a wonderful part of the game that americans always seem to miss out on
re: take a note | 8:28 a.m. April 17, 2008
There is a whole forum over on the RSL boards of Big Soccer about getting fans involved in singing/chanting/etc. It's a grassroots effort, but there are those who are working to make it a reality. Were you at the RSL v. DC game? You may have noticed a little more of this as they were working to get the fans to chant along with them. It's a valid point you bring up and we all need to step up and chant/sing a little more.

Soccer, being the most boring sport, should be portrayed in that light- not in the false circumstances created by paid bloggers and fake publicity gurus. Soccer is on the way out so why is The Deseret News wasting resources on it?

Just some small facts. MLS attendance is increasing yearly. Soccer Specific stadiums in the US are being built and nearly every MLS team is in one or is building one. 260 million people tuned in to watch the world cup final which was the most watched sporting event in 2006 and soccer is increasing it's global dominance as the worlds sport with a 14% live attendance increase over the last 4 years according to Initiative Worldwide. Soccer is far from being on the way out. Please go watch your underwater basket weaving and stop talking if you don't know what you're talking about.

ha ha, the most boring sport eh? Straight from a typical american raised throwball (you call it football but really its throwball)loving ignorant mouth. Fact is that people like soccer (football is its real name but if i say that it might be too advanced for you to understand and follow). If you really want to know what the most boring sport is then look no further then baseball. I give respect to baseball because its very difficult to play, but i find it boring. However i dont go over to the bees board and bash on them. Respect the sport even if you dont like it
