Why in the world is access so important in these remote areas? I have spent many days and miles in these places, and one of the primary attractions has always been their IN-accessibility! Roads are, of course, Kane County's way of forever precluding wilderness designation, a thought that is anathema to them!

I thought the Constitution had wording like "that the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people". According to RS2477 the States have the right to maintain roads. Should not the local areas be a large part of declaring Wilderness?

these are public lands. access to them is a right . locking up these places seems to be the goal of the some .
