Polygamy, abuse may seem baffling to kids

Just to clarify - I explained to our children that this VERY WELL could happen to our home, and we had ALL better realize we are at risk for such an attack.

If a group of people can be targeted for their beliefs, that goes for every belief, and every group of people. This goes completely against the First Amendment of our Constitution.

I strongly urge all of us to look in the mirror. Is it right to condemn a person before the evidence is heard? When is prejudice still an acceptable attitude in this country? Are we justified in traumatizing all of these children, just because a culture chooses to follow a different belief system?

If you don't protect your children, no one else will.

these children are being abused. their parents are the abusers. they were not targeted for their beliefs, they were targeted for the horrible abuse they have been inflicting on their children.

if you don't protect your children, you deserve to be at risk for such an "attack".

How do we protect our kids from the lies and myths with which they try to indoctrinate them in a cult? How do you leave a cult when your family and extended family have been part of it for generations? How do we protect our children from their relatives who are going to continue to brainwash them with the same ideas that exploit them and destroy their lives?

You all think it is so easy. It is not.
