Perhaps Chandler should look at some stats:

According to John Hollinger's Pace factor, Utah has the 9th fastest pace in the league, while the Hornets rank at 26--5th slowest in the league. Utah also scores and allows more points per game than New Orleans.

So much for "grind it out, and slow it down."

Sinan

He is my countryman. He is the man that i'm proud of his good personality. He is the man that i enjoy watching his basketball playing. He is the man that caused me to be a strong fan of the Jazz. He is the man that caused me to meet with all of you in here.
GO MEMO, GO ALL OF YOU, GO JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Chad

Funny to hear Tyson Chandler's comments. He does not pay very good attention or he would realize the Jazz score more points per game than the hornets and are in the top 10 in points score per game in the league. He would also know we have the largest point differential in the league.

Funny how the excuses start to flow when they lose. that is something that I respect about the Jazz. Instead of "we had an off game" or some other comment to show that, even though they lost they are still the better team, the Jazz players and coaches simply give credit where credit is due.

That is good sportsmanship.

Hey Sloan Hater, how is it that the Jazz and its players seem to keep getting better under Sloan?

Sinan, were not going to give your countryman back, we love him to much. Keep it up Memo!

Oz

@ bean....I know what ya saying, everybody has it in their heads that Utah is not a run it up & down team. Out of everyone they have the best looking roster to be able to run & play the 1/2 court.

@ Sinan....Keep representing like you have all season!!!

Go Sinan, Go Jazz!!

liberal larry

Is it just my imagination, or are the Jazz really good at picking, and then developing second round picks? Milsap being the latest.

Fans

We appreciate Memo too. He's the man on this team, the leader, the defender in the paint.( sorry Boozer ) Memo is bringing it every game,at home, on the road,He is the leader by example.Go El Capitain, go Sinan, Go Jazz!!!!!

Go Memo........

.....Go Sinan, Go Turkey, Go Jazz! Be careful what you wish for. You all wanted Phoenix to beat San Antionio. Looked like Pops got Popped (he's popped a few himself). Now the spurs could be headed for a 5 seed. And the Jazz could be stay on the river walk for a week or 10 days starting next Tuesday.

Uncle Keith

This is Memo's Team. Memo's and D' Wills team. Not Cuff links!

Memo for Pres

Memo and AK are the difference makers, if they play well the Jazz are very hard to beat.

I love the fact the Sloan hs the Jazz playing so well mostly because I love to see the Jazz winning but partly because it has shut Sloan Hater up or maybe the Dnews finally banned him, one could only hope.

I expect Dwill and Booz to have a bounce back game tonight and play well. I just hope they can continue the winning streak. Another tough game tonight I'm worried about a let down.

What a great team the Jazz have from A-Z, I just hope they can keep them all together. Develop the young talent and add a top round pick from NY in 2010, if they can keep this team together the Jazz could be good for the next 10 years.

Update: Larry Miller for President, Memo for VP, Sloan for Secretary of Defense.

GO JAZZ!!!

Re:Fans

Little kids are saying Memo before they can even say mommy or daddy!!!

Everyone talks about how Boozer doesnt play defense but you all forget the good job that Boozer did against Tim Duncan. Boozer has gotten under Duncan's skin the last 2 times they have played. I think that the Jazz have the most potential of any team in the NBA. They can play the fast game, they can play the slow game, they can hit from the perimeter and they can kill you in the paint. Anybody on the team can get hot and have a career night. You have to guard every body on the Jazz team very tight. I am very happy with the team that they have. Get rid of Hart and Collins, use Fes in Collins spot and get a more efficient back up PG to play along with Price when Deron is out.

GO JAZZ!!!

I was at Sacrament meeting with my 1 1/2 year old son. The Hymn was just over and they bread was still being broken. It was dead silent in the Chapel. My son was amazed at this silence and he looked around to see what was going on. He stood up on the bench and stretched his neck to look about. Then with his amazingly loud voice ye yelled "Memoooooooooh!" People were holding their mouths and trying not to laugh. Mine and my wifes faces were turning redder and redder. Then when I thought it couldn't get any worse and people were just gaining their composure he yells "Moneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!" People started cracking up and some of the men on the stand were glaring my direction. I tried to hunch down but I just froze not wanting to draw any more attention to myself I could not even move. Then with a smile at all the attention that he was drawing and the fascination with the sound of his voice blasting of the walls and ceiling of the Chapel, he bellows "It Went Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!" At this moment even the guys on the stand were smiling and trying to remain composed.

When I looked over at him he was holding his arms straight up for an extended amout of time as if to signal 3. I began to ponder, and I realized at that moment just how high the Jazz had become on mine and my families priority list. And I knew that everyone in that building was also aware of this.

Raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it....

3rd Gen Jazz fan: I just spit coffe all over my screen with that story! Absolutly classic!

HEY SINAN! CASH MONEY BABY! The scuttlebutt around the league is that the Pistons are regret losing Memo more than they regret not drafting Carmelo. 'Sheed said they miss him big time. Memo has been hurt for a year and is finally healthy. He's now playing some of the finest basketball of his carreer. Paul Gasol has nothing on Memo! "Don't touch me, I'm still hot!"

magnus

@ third generation fan

Priceless, simply priceless!

@Anonymous & Memo for pres

I also hope they can keep this group together but I am not sure if Larry Miller will Shell out that kind of cash. Here's some numbers....

2008-2009 Salary Cap is estimated to be around $59.9 Mil with a luxury tax threshold around $70Mil

The Jazz currently have about $60Mil in contracts for 2008-2009.

CJ Miles is the only free agent this summer.

The following players will have the option to become free agents in the summer of 2009.

Williams
Boozer
Okur
Price
Milsap
Collins
Hart

The Jazz will be focusing on Williams and Milsap this summer. Williams contract will be about $14Mil a year, he is currently due $5Mil next year. Milsap is probably worth 2-3Mil a year, he is currently due $700K next year.

So if the Jazz do not resign CJ and keep everybody else their team salary would be around $70Mil, that is doable for next year but that summer they have to resign Okur and Boozer and if they both keep playing at the level they are they will both be entertaining Max contract offers.

re magnus

What about Kirilenko. He becomes a free agent the folling year. That will free up a lot of money. And hart has a team option after this season. My bet is the Jazz don't exercise there option on hart. That money will go to CJ.
