No kidding! My husband lost his job two years ago and we now qualify for medicaid because we are making very little money. I feel there should be some kind of help for people who lose their jobs as far as insurance goes maybe some kind of bridge insurance that doesn't cost $600-1000 per month like COBRA does. It is a crazy country we live in.
My husband is disabled now and qualifies for Medicare but the rest of us don't We pay $800 a month for insurance and can barely afford to eat.
I hate the democrats but their idea of universal health care is a good one.
Also - shouldn't the hospitals be forced to charge the same rates for everyone? Capitalism gone mad!!
Having Health Insurance does not guarantee person will get HEALTHCARE that they need, when person get something catastrophe cancer, heart disease, MS, brain injury. The insurance company raise rate so high, or drop there insurance. The insurance are out to make money, alot worse than are now. The HEALTHCARE REFORM that was pass up LEGISLATIVE will hurt more people, the healthcare so high the insurance companies would broke if the cover even 80%, they to make MONEY. What need is HR 676 SINGLE-PAYER HEALTH INSURANCE PEOPLE NOT PROFIT WE NEED TRUE FAMILY VALUES.
