I think it is good that the paper has an article about the players that you never hear about unless it is for a penalty-the o line. Hoke has to play his best ball of him football career this year. He has the maturity, size and EXPERIENCE to do it all. Now he knows he has to perform on the field. I hope he is right about the o line having depth and the team will not stumble because Murphy and Jorgensen are gone. This year we signed only one o line, a player from Texas. Last year I think we signed 6 or 7. I do not know the numbers of schol offensive lineman but I suppose Hoke knows what he is talking about. I guess those are the young players he was talking about not being ready last year but are ready this year. Thanks for the article, DN, and Go Aggies!

So the coach and the players say we need to get the run game going better. Too bad none of you "faithfull" Aggie fans will believe them and stop screaming for Guy's head.

I am for winning regardless of whether Brent Guy is the coach or not. This year, year four, he is still our coach and I will not settle for excuses. Win or go away. That is what he is supposed to do as head coach. Win. Run Pass Skip Pray Watch Nick-at-Night reruns Execute Play Calling what ever it takes to win, just WIN.

Looks like another 2 win season for the Aggies.

Thanks for your insightful comment. I think you made that exact same comment on the last 20 USU articles.

Besides the three starters mentioned, (Hoke, Tonnemacher, and Johnson) here are some more o-linemen expected to make an impact this year:

McFadden 6-2 305 JR
Jakel 6-2/270FR-RS
Baerss 6-1/262FR-RS
Gapelu 6-1/309FR-RS
Rogers 6-3/300SO-1L
Lamb 6-2/306SO-SQ
Cuevas 6-3/265FR-RS
Asisi 6-2/311FR-RS
Hill 6-1/273FR-RS
Clark 6-4/277SR-1L
Disman 6-1/270FR-RS

I would keep an eye on Gepelu, Rogers, Asisi, Clark and Disman, especially.

Wasn't Clark a d lineman that converted to o line last year? Is he going to do that this year or go back to the d line?

Rogers and McFadden are upper classmen and both had playing time last year. My guess is they have the best shot at taking the spots left by Murphy and Jorgensen. I do not know about the other younger players.

Why should we believe them?? For all 3 years brent guy has been the coach we rank in the bottom ten in offense in the nation!!!! so yes, we're screaming for Guy's head. Brent Guy's approach to offense will never win more than 2-3 games a year.....and even those games take some serious luck.

The sooner he's gone, the better.
