First Blanco, then Atiba Harris and Alecko Eskandarian. Can this get any more humiliating? I expect John Ellinger to come off the bench for DC in our next match to knock one in.

Chivas is a classic Italian-style counterattacking team, which we knew going into the match, yet we still pushed our back line way too far up the field and got caught three times when they sprung forward on us. Good effort from the players, daft tactics by Kreis.

here we go again

new year, new hype, same results.

GMoney

Good to see some attacking but still lacking the finishing touch! Tough not to come away with the 2-2 draw.

Uncommitted to Same Core

Kreis doesn't know what he is doing? Need a coach with even a tiny spec of successful professional level coaching experience.

Keep the faith

You expected to beat Chivas on the road? Really? Sounds like you are demanding it. We would have been the only MLS team to win on the road so far this season. Road teams have been outscored 31-6 so far. Only 4 road teams have even scored a goal (RSL being one of those). Realize what an incredibly hard task that road game was.

Now this week we are at home and we need to dominate. DC is my 2nd favorite team, but I want us to win this game at all costs. We will win. Go RSL.

Ethan

You rant about ppl over-hyping a win against Chivas and they say we should beat DC United? Like the 2 time Supporters Shield DC United?

Good luck with that.

JVC-RSL

I agree with keep the faith. We pushed Chivas to their limits, and were somewhat unlucky to come away with a draw. If Deuchar puts away the absolute sitter in the first half, it's a totally different game. Somehow Findley can't win a penalty as he was bulled over from behind on the penalty spot, running onto a brilliant headed pass from Deuchar. No call.

I didn't think Kreis' tactics were bad. The defense got caught with one too many men forward on all three goals, and that was a case of a defender getting a little over anxious to get into the attack. We gave the ball away in crucial spots too cheaply, and I think Sturgis should get a shot. I also think Beltran should get a shot at left back as Joy's lack of pace has proven to be a liability. All in all I love that Kreis was attack minded from start to finish. Guzan pulled out some amazing saves especially against Movsysian.

Leo Rocks

Did any one else notice that most of Chivas' offensive opportunities came from Talley's screw ups? A defensive midfielder is supposed to protect the defense and disrupt play in the midfield... the opposing teams play in the midfield, not our own. When Kreis subbed Williams in for Talley it took pressure off Morales because the defense had to take note of Williams and we had a lot more effective and meaningful possession.

Game plan for DC: Leave Talley out of starting 11. The more creativity on the field at the same time, the more effective our playmakers will be. If Kreis would field a line up like the one he put on in the 70th minute against Chivas and play like we are already down it would be a lot more fun to watch....

I'm optimistic for our DC game though.

Ethan:
Bye the way, we did beat DC last year, the year they won one of their Supporters Shields. And this is the first month of the season, look at the last two weeks of results and you can see that anything can happen.

Go REal!

Hopeful

I'm hopeful for a win against DC this upcoming Saturday. I hope Kreis has learned from these first two games what he needs to change in his back line and attacking line. I believe the Dr. and Finley should get the start again. They actually produced and compliment each other very well. Our left back has been exposed like said above and should be replaced this week. Real should get a W this weekend, no excuse as to why not.
The score line the last two games has not told the flow of the game at all. The Chicago game should have been 3-1 for Real, they possed the ball and had numerous opportunities. The score line for the Chivas game should have been 2-1 or even 2-2. Real was pushing for an equalizer late, which was nice to see, and got countered.
Best of luck to RSL, hope they can find the back of the net early and often

RSL Is A Joke

After DCU ties loses or doesn't make up their 2-goal deficit to Pachuca; they will come to Rice-Eccles ready to win.

5-1 DCU. A Luciano Emilio hattrick, one by Fred and one by Quaranta.

RSL will be bankrupt before the new stadium opens and taxpayers will have a cool flea market venue they have paid for.

Idea for the new stadium

When RSL is bankrupt, they (at taxpayers' expense) should fill the stadium with spam and build the world's biggest pork burrito- a wonderful tribute to immortalize the state's biggest blunder.

You're a Joke

To all the people who come onto the RSL board and tear apart RSL and write off the rest of their season, i say to you, you're a joke. The MLS season is long a brutual, and anything can happen. RSL does need a W this weekend in my opinion, but its so early in the season you cant call quits on them already.
To all that do support the stadium being built, be a man a deal with it. You hate soccer and therefore hate the fact that some tax dollars might go into helping build a stadium that will host soccer. Your pathetic, go back to high school and make fun of the soccer kids like you did. Those kids that could out run you, out perform you, were more athletic then you, and played a sport that isnt americanized and respected throughout the world.
Let the soccer fans have their own board, go to the blaze board if you want to talk to losers
