"Caldwell resigned under pressure by the state Board of Regents last week from a post he has held for nearly three years."
Is there a reliable source for this info?
If it is true (and I believe it is), it seems about time for some investigative journalism. How about asking for the minutes from the Board of Regents closed meetings that have occured on several occasions since January? It is likely that they started to discuss this matter months ago, given that they asked Nadauld to take the position in February.
I'd like to second UUSGs request for an investigation. Assuming the article is true, what was it that drove the Regents to force out a man that they had just given a positive performance evaluation to? Why now? Who applied the preassure? Answering these questions would go a long way to easing a growing sense in St. George that we're not really full partners with the rest of the State.
