Of course genetics play a role. If your parents were morons and smoke...then I think there is a good chance that you are a moron and will smoke too.
This is just one more reason to NEVER smoke that first cigarette.
If you never smoke that first cigarette, then you will never know if you have the gene...or have to deal with the ensuing problems associated.
