President Monson cheers on Jazz

He's a very humble and loving man. I wonder if he was close enough to hear sloan's language!!
lakers eat your heart out! our fans include celebrities who are civic and religious leaders not just movie stars and rappers showing up to be seen.
GO JAZZ!!!
While unusual, I would say that having a prominant local celebrity with near courtside seats pat Sloan on the back during half-time is hardly "CREEPY".
Having someone become as creeped out by it, as "sloanshock" clearly is, is CREEPY.
Last time I checked President Monson was human.
President Monson is showing not only is he currently The Lord's Prophet and President of The Church, but also shows he is a regular person that enjoys the simple pleasures of watching our Jazz play !
President Monson is indeed just as much as "the people's prophet" as President Hinckley was !
Your use of the word "propaganda" shows that you haven't even the slightest clue what it means.
Want to know what's creepy? You and your anti-Mormonism. "Really weird."
Second, ya it might've been a little shocking but it was great to see a church leader in such a fun environment. We always see them in conference and stuff and it is was great to see them out of that environment and in the public.
On a different note, it's good to see the duo are able to take over a game if need be. Let's hope the whole team can keep this up as they leave home again for a bit.
Wouldn't the money for their tickets be better served feeding and housing some poor kids in Africa who lost their Parents to Genicide or Aids?
Wow dude - chill out. Is ESPN also producing "mormon controlled" propaganda? They had a blurb on ESPN.Com about it too. The fact is... This story is interesting to a lot of people. Unfortunately there will always be people like you that wig out every time there is a human interest story about the LDS church in... imagine that... Utah!
Go Monson!
Go Jazz!
Trying to find something negative in the story must have taken some real effort on your part. As this is just a nice "feel good" story.
Good things can happen in life---don't try to ruin them when they do.
If I did what this old man did, I'd be ejected from the building after interrogation.
Stay in the Billionaire Box, Mr. Monson, please.
SLOANSSHOCK.....don't you know that we are a pecurliar people? LOL Wow, Deseret News let your post in here.....how controlling!
It is more a matter of perspective. You would probably have said nothing or praised someone else if it was someone you respected or someone you look up to. He looked nothing more than a kid in a candy store. He got close to some high level athletes he loves to watch and a coach he has watched for twenty years. He took advantage of an opportunity to pop his head in for a second and exited. Many would do the same if they had the opportunity. Please don't twist it. It was purely innocent.
But calling this propaganda when ESPN discussed it as part of the game recap is hardly what I would call propaganda.
President Monson is a leader of a worldwide religion. To think that this is not noteworthy that he interacted with the team is rediculous.
If the Pope was at a Real Madrid or Manchester United Game and was a fan of one of those teams, it would be all over the Associated Press.
Chances are, when he performs the service you demand, you're not going to see it. If you want someone to perform service for the purpose of appeasing those who are watching, I think you need to look to Hollywood. I guess you would only be satisfied if he took a video camera on all of his hospital visits and posted the footage on youtube.
I HAVE NEWS FOR, YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE. The Deseret News is 100% propaganda, and just because you state that does not make you "ANTI MORMON'.
Let people believe what they want, even if it is that the LDS church is full of it, because guess what; just all the other religions in the world, IT IS.
