As a long time (since childhood) Bamberger enthusiast, I find this news satisfying in that the proposed route reprises the old Bamberger route into Davis County, including 400 West where I spent my boyhood. Bamberger stopped rail passenger service in 1952, continued with freight until 1959. The 400 West trackage was operated by Rio Grande as a freight spur until 1978, where upon the tracks were removed. Now it'll all be back again! Who'd a thunked it?
