I like the "can-do" attitude but the games at New Orleans and
especially at San Antonio are going to be tough ones. The Jazz do have the best
NBA record in calendar-year 2008 so maybe they can get-er done. Go Jazz!

Winning the next ten games would be a huge boost of confidence going into the
playoffs, not to mention it would likely give us home court advantage for the
first round. In order for that to happen, though, Boozer, Williams, and AT
LEAST ONE OTHER PLAYER need to really show up and play well.

I can easily see how Jazz fans can sometimes feel "snubbed" - when
one looks at the prospective playoff teams in the west. Denver is missing from
this look-see group of 8 teams and, they have two legitimate all-stars. Did
anyone notice how Denver handled the Nowitski-less Maveriks last night? Just
hit those free throws ("easiest shot in basketball") Jazz players and
you will be fine (toward the end of the 4th quarter)!

Lets take it a game at a time. Thats how teams go on winning streaks. They
just take it one game at a time. A major problem of the Jazz has been to look
ahead. Seems they keep making the same mistakes.

I love Memo - but my 8-year old son calls him "sleepy head" because
his hair style and basic look appears to my son as if he "just got out of
bed." Luckily, he general plays like he has been awake for a while! Go

If Ak plays lackuster? If anything its Harpring. Last few weeks i been watching
him closely and he is getting bad. He still is tough and hustles a lot and ill
give him that, but lately hes fumbling balls, missing lay ups, picking up
stuping offensive fouls. Keep on eye on him tonight and see how many he fumbles
tonight.

Interesting, I saw that exact same post on yahoo somewhere except it was a bobcats fan.
I think Chris Paul is the most deserving of an MVP. It has come down to either him or kobe. But the most important question that must be asked is: If you take a player away from their team what happens?
Without Paul the hornets are not even a playoff team.
On the other hand If kobe from the lakers and especially now with a healthy gasol and bynum they are still a contending for western conference title. Lakers are deep and hence kobe can not be MVP. The only way could have possibly deserved iit is if the lakers were head and shoulders above the rest in the west, and they are not.
Furthermore, I think kobe should be number 3 in the race behind Lebron. You take away Lebron and the Cavs are literally memphis. And it shows without Lebron this season, Cavs 0-5.
To put it simply,
Paul helps his team greatly.
Lebron helps his team less than Paul.
Kobe helps his team the least.

Lola.. I will take D will anyday over Chris Paul. Their numbers are very
similar, but cp3 shoots the ball more then D will. If they shot the same, D will
would average the 21 that cp3 does. D will is bigger, and a better shooter. Go

Someone just watches the games instead of seeing what really is going on in
games.AK is just fine and so is Memo both are making the plays when needed.Jazz
are looking good, they just need to keep getting better. Hustle and more hustle,
effort and more effort.Wish for all to do well because it takes a team to win it
all.

The Jazz are dreaming if they think they can win their last 10 games. That is
not going to happen, the last six games are against very tough teams. The best
they will do is go 8-2, worse case scenario they will split the ten games. These
next four games are very important to win before the tough final stretch. Look
for the Jazz to finish with 52 to 55 victories, it should be enough to get em in
the playoffs as long as they stay ahead of Denver.

D-Will is much better than CP3. I don't see why everyone in the sporting
world worships the ground CP3 walks on and never mentions D-Will. He owns Chris
Paul and will continue to do so. Cant wait until the playoffs! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!

Lebron almost averages a triple double, and can take over the game at any time...Without him, the Cavs would be nothing...the only thing they would have going for them is that they play in the East...
CP3 is awesome (I also like D Will better), but I think his team would destroy the Cavs if both he and Lebron sat out...
CP3 might get the MVP because of what his team is doing out West, but if we all really asked who is more important to their team, I believe there isn't a more important player in the whole league than Lebron...

Anyone who says DWill is better than Paul, or that the jazz made the right
decision taking Williams over Paul is just trying to be a loyal fan to the jazz
and sloan. It is obvious to anyone outside of this state that Paul is the best
point guard in the league and 1 of the top 3 players in the league.
DWill is a very good player and is probably around the 4th or 5th best point guard in the league. I guarentee that if the jazz could do it all over again they would take Paul in a landslide over Williams. Its not that Willimas isn't a very good player, but Paul is GREAT without question.

We are better off with D-Will than if we drafted Paul. He fits the Jazz system
better. If there is any margin of talent between them it is very small. D-Will
plays like a man possessed. His days of MVP talk will come...

I watch the Jazz frequently, I seldom go to games. I went to the Charlotte game
here on Tuesday night (?). It is clear that the Jazz can "turn it on"
and "let it get turned off" . They "toyed" with Charlotte.
If the game had been a playoff game, with the Jazz facing elimination, they
would have won by 40 points...they are that good. Instead the Bobcats came all
the way back to close within 3 points in the fourth quarter. The Jazz
"turned it on" and won by over 20. The only weakness on this team is
consistency of effort. I don't even buy into the "they are weak
defensively" idea. They CAN play defense, if they have to. The problem is
"flicking the switch" and leaving it on. I guess with 82 games you
have to "turn it on" and "turn it off" to be able to make it
through an excessively long season. Now is crunch time...I think now we will
really see what our team is capable of. Up to this point, you could never be
sure if they were really trying or not.

about someone one time so you are trying to use it.

Think of this, Chris Paul plays in NO, a team who gets publicity just for being
in the city it is. Say Chris Paul and Deron Williams were to swap teams, then
all this MVP talk would go to Deron and we would all be talking up Paul. The
fact that the allstar game was in NO was what started all of this anyways. Yeah
Paul was talked about before, but after that game where he was setup to be the
hero, all the MVP talk shifted to him.
I personally think Deron is much better then paul, the head to head stats should be a sign of that in and of themselves.
When paul has a good night, its all over ESPN, when DWill does, its all in our papers, thats it.
Remember the at Boston and at Phoenix games, that was grounds to but Deron in MVP talk for me, it just didnt get as publicized as when Paul was at Clevland and stuff.

100% agree!!!! If they did swap teams, than it would be exactly opposite as
what it is now. The Jazz just don't get enough national recognition. Then
are a great team but the rest of the country just doesn't know.

Anyone who thinks Paul is WAY better than williams is delusional. You need to
quit watching sportcenter. I thought it was funny the other night on TV. They
showed a statistic about Paul. Something like the number of games in a season in
which a player had 15+pts and 20+ assists. Paul has had 2 this season. well
guess who else was on the list with 2 games this season? Yet they did not even
mention his name. I think it is weird that of the best two pg's in the
league. One of them gets all of the media/analyst attention and the other gets
zero.

Guys, get a grip. Arguing who is better, William vs. Paul is like arguing who
was better, Magic or Bird. Anyone who knows basketball can see they are both
great and play great within their system. Both teams are very good because of
them, and would suffer a significant drop off without them. Both are great, and
neither is much better than the other. This is an argument better reserved for
10 to 15 years in the future.

The jazz have been in the playoffs 27 of the last 30 years and didn't win a chamionship.
Stat 2:
They had two of the supposedly 50 greatest players of all time for like 17 years and did not win a championship. How many teams with two of the 50 greatest players of all time did not win championship? Perhaps they were the wtong players?
Stat 3 And most important stat is:
The road record.
Teams with best road records are in the east: detroit, boston, closely followed by orlando.
Teams in the west: Lakers by far are the best. Followed by new orleans, houston, phoenix, san antonio, golden state. Then the jazz are way back in 8th place.
The best road teams are almost always tthe ones to go the farthest in the playoffs. unless another gets lucky like the jazz last year and play GS.
Which means it will be the lakers vs detroit or boston. Others may get healthy or lucky like an orlando or san antonio or houston.
This is how the playoffs will playout.

Yeah, "Sleepy Head" - just watch tonight and see if the Clippers
will pull that "fast break" stuff again with, of course, the Jazz
players running down the court with their backs to the ball - it drives me crazy
to observe that. Recently, Memo was doing that and the
driving-towards-the-basket player used him as a screen running right behind him
and literally pushed Memo ahead of him. Also, give this CP3 vs. D-Will thing a
rest - they are on two different teams - wait til the playoffs are over - there
are some great times ahead for both of 'em. And don't worry if the
Jazz are under the radar (with the national media) - we have beaten every team
in the NBA at least once this year; lay low and surprise the "experts"
! AK47, Matt, Paul, KK, etc. are all great players and they will demonstrate
that in a team effort.
