Sorry Mitt--no money from this billfold for John McSame!
Man, that's just ... er, Torture.
McCain will never get my vote. I don't care if he sleeps at Mitt's house.
Two warmongers willing to send other people's sons off to war. Four more years of republicans will not only finish our country - it might very well result in the extinction of mankind - from a world war.
Mitt come to the dark side.
If you stand for liberty you need to look at Ron Paul. How can anyone who understands the slightest things of the Book of Mormon endose McCain?
I can't believe the small showing for Ron Paul in Utah. If you voted for someone just because he is a member of you faith in the local elections you would have a problem because sometimes both parties are members of your faith.
Those who stand for liberty need to join the Ron Paul Revolution. "Stand for something"
SO YOU WOULD RATHER VOTE FOR BILLARY or Barack Hussein Obama, Jr... Get REAL - your (and mine) favored choice is out of the race.
Did people in Utah forget about John McCain and how he tried to derail the federal money coming into Utah for the olympics..ie to rebuild I-15. John McCain was the biggest pain the the butt. He kept calling it pork barrel spending...I don't think you can call John McCain a friend to Utah.
Give me some more money so that I can represent Who? Why not start the campaigns for 2012 now also. Give, Give, Give. Get real with this political crap. Who benefits from 2 year campaigns? Ridiculous! I just wish all of this was over with. I'm sick of the lies by both parties.
Hey "Mitt" if you want to quote the Book of Mormon, you might remember the parts about the majority of the people voting for someone- and this being the more righteous choice- remember the Kingmen would have a pitty party and go off because their "candidate" didn't win and try to king him.
McCain certainly isn't my first choice- but he is a choice closer to my principals than the other two. Sometimes your vote has to keep those with less of your principals out of the highest office in the land where they could do the most damage. If you think things can't change that much in 4 years- again look to the Book of Mormon to show you that is wrong.
Waiting for my stock to Rebound - Wrong, MY candidate is still in the race.
McCain needs to choose a running mate before he gets any donation from me.
I would just as soon let the Democrats take the blame for the next four years than have McLiberal swing the blame onto Republicans.
Choose Huckabigot as VP and watch Utah voters turn BLUE in record proportions!
Utah's favorite son? I thought he was the Governor of Massachusetts and, therefore, THEIR favorite son?
The ONLY thing that would make him Utah's favorite son is his Mormonism. Are we that blatantly and mindlessly voting for a candidate for no other reason than his religious beliefs?
Pathetic.
I think Mitt and McCain both underestimate the unforgiving Mormon mind. They feel betrayed by Mitt - first for suspending his race for President, and second, for endorsing McCain, who was his enemy (the same way BYU and Utah are enemies).
Once you betray the Mormons, AMEN to you! They don't forgive!
McCain's son is in the military, so he's not just sending others' kids off to war.
Smart move by McCain! With McCain's military experience and Romney's business experience they would make a great leadership team. Clinton and Obama are just hecklers on the side with nothing tangible to contribute, except foolish left-wing ideologies that would take the U.S down if implemented.
I'm hoping for a Hillary, and waiting for 2012 for Mitt. McCain is a RINO.
Patric, all things being equal what is wrong with supporting someone because of their religous beliefs?
There are many people supporting Obama simply because he is black or Hillary because she is a woman, and their values go by the wayside. At least if you go with faith and values as a guid you have a good idea of a candidates moral compass. And on the other side of the coin their are people who DID NOT support Romney because of his faith. How shortsighted and bigoted is that?
The only ones who will give money to McCain are the typical political insiders seeking to feather their own nests. Like Mitt, they will blow wherever the political winds of potential self-aggrandizement take them. They will be fawning over McCain and patting each other on the back today.
Yes, I am a Republican. I get requests from the Republican party for money nearly every day. No, I do not support McCain. Yes, I would like some real, honest change. Can we ever get it from politics and politicians? Not from this crew. 8 more years of Bush lite. They will not get a dime from me.
I think voting for a candidate because of their religious beliefs, or their race, or their gender is very shallow. Their is not one candidate in this race that I WANT to vote for. I stand with McCain on some issues and stand with Obama/Hillary on a very few. I disagree with Mitts 'round 'em up and throw them out' policy on immigration. Yes, round up the illegals that commit crimes and deport them, but have a path to citizenship for those who are employed so that they can pay taxes and not bleed our welfare system to death. I'm beggining to really like Lou Dobbs as a candidate.
If you want change, quit voting for Democrats and Republicans. Vote for a Constitutionalist...vote for a Libertarian.
Diamondladi:
I would ask you to reconsider whether either of the 2 Democrats are any less close to your principles than McCain is. The way I see it, they are ALL pretty much the same, just bankrupting America via different coercive means.
The Book of Moromon does have a great deal to say about fighting pre-emptive wars -- and that God pretty much let the people tank when they did so.
It nauseates me to hear people chanting the mantra, "We are fighting for our freedoms...." We are actually fighting a war of agression. Not saying we don't need to root out Bin Laden and other insurgents, but attacking a COUNTRY and trying to form it to our idea of an acceptable democracy is quite a different matter. That's imperialism.
I won't be rewarding the Republican Party with any more money this year -- and likely for a long time to come. And I'll either write-in Ron Paul or vote for the Libertarian.
