Caucuses delight attendees
5 comments | Read story
One year over 100,000 people attended the caucuses between the two parties. So when people talk about the caucuses and convention not representing the people, that isn't accurate.
The best part about the whole process, starting with tens of thousands of people participating, is that intimate nature of it. Candidates don't get to hide behind 30 second commercials. They have to sit in front of small crowds of people for 2 and 3 hours at a time and answer direct questions with direct answers.
As a side note this is why so many Republican delegates are upset with Huntsman. In the hundreds of little meetings he held, he represented himself VASTLY different then he is now, especially on environmental issues.
Anyway, yesterday was another great day in life of freedom!
I hope there were many more Democratic caucuses held around the state - we need change and people need to understand that just because you align yourself with democratic party ideas, you aren't a bad person and you are still a good church member.
