I'm just wondering what kind of work magna woman does, as husband states she makes about 800 phone calls a day. If she works an 8 hour day, that's 100 calls an hour, or one call every 1.7 seconds. If she's on a 10 hour day, that's 80 calls an hour, or one each 1.3 seconds. I don't think I can even dial a number that fast, let alone wait for the connection, the person on the other end to answer, etc. Doesn't leave much time to talk, or are we over exaggerating here, both in the cause of the illness, as well as the work situation?

I start sneezing when I come to work, maybe I'm allergic to work, and am wondering if I can sue my employer. What do y'all think?

Woops, I did my math wrong. As you can tell, I'm not in a work situation where I have to rely on math. Actually the 80 calls a minute are one every 3/4 second, and the 100 calls a minute are one every .6 seconds. An even more amazing feat. Super heroes have returned!!!

Let's get the math right:

800 calls a day:
Assume an 8 hour day: that's 100 calls an hour
60 minutes per hour, 60 seconds per minute:
So, 100 calls in 3600 seconds
That is 1 call per 36 seconds.

for a 10 hour day it's 1 call per 45 seconds.

With autodial from a computer list? It's not exactly chatty, but perfectly possible.

Welcome to the news and their not getting 100% of the story right. When dealing with the news you have to read between the lines. I'm willing to bet the husband said she worked for a place that takes incoming 1-800 calls. Call centers are very common in Utah. At least this lawsuit makes more sense than the people who sue burger joins because they ate there daily and got fat. Personally, I'm sure if I were diagnosed with a deadly illness caused by some company's negligence or improper zoning of a city. I would sue too. Me being the bread winner for my family, I would want them to be covered if I were to face an untimely death.

Sounds like an Erin Brockovich wanna-be story.

All I can say is HELLO! You live by a mine!!! If you don't want to be effected by it then don't live by it. There are obvious reasons as to why housing prices are lower there. You don't have to be a genius to figure that one out. These people desperate for easy money for their own stupidity just disgust me.

Is anybody even sure that the mine has any more Beryllium than her back yard does?
