It wasn't the prettiest win but at least we got back into a positive role again with a win over Seattle. The Jazz played with much more focus and intensity in the second half and would've won against the Lakers the other night if they played that way. You won't win every game, but as long as they play their game, the Jazz will win almost every time so keep it up guys!

The Jazz win uglier than anybody else in the NBA.

The jazz win uglier than anybody in the NBA? They're one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA. Are you saying you don't like offense? Are you saying you'd see a San Antonio, Houston grind it out game? Help me understand.

It's difficult to bring your A game every night, but teams that have players the most capable of coming close to that are the ones that win championships. Consistency in day-in-day-out play is what gets you through the boring games that you have a hard time getting up for.

If you've payed attention to many of the wins and losses by the Jazz this season, you'll recognize that their losses to the weaker teams and wins over the stronger teams are directly related to being able to get up for the good teams and not the bad teams. That's a sign of team immaturity.

The Jazz players will mature over time and become that consistent team, hopefully. They certainly have the nucleus of good players.

If you look back on most of the championship NBA teams, you'll see both maturity and players that have been together awhile.

GO JAZZ!

I wonder where the guy is a few days back talking about how terrible D Will is because the +/- in one game for him was negative....for this game it was a whopping +19.

We are a good team and I figure we will move to the second round of the playoffs, but we need another year of seasoning and another piece or 2 to compete for it all.

GO JAZZ!!

Not so fast on the prediction of moving to the 2nd round. Jazz will win the division, but that doesn't guarantee home court. The way it looks now, the Jazz will probably get the 4th seed, but not have HC. Blame the silly losses to teams like Miami, New York, Minn, NJ, Chicago, LA Clippers, etc.

Jazz got a win last season at Houston in the PO's. I wouldn't count on it again this year against any of the teams that may finish at #5 like Hou, Pho, NO, etc. I say the Jazz are 1 and done.

Maybe if that happens, Williams, Boozer, Okur, etc. will learn the importance of beating bad teams. There's no excuse for not bringing it every game if you truly want to have a shot at a championship.

If the Jazz get Houston in the first round this year, even if they don't have home court, they will take the series in 5 games. I for one am hoping that no matter what else happens the Jazz get Houston in the first round. The only thing I can think of being better than that is playing the Mavericks and the Warriors are a close third.

With PHX, NO, LA, and SA I feel 50/50 about our chances, it all depends on what Jazz team shows up. I honestly believe they could beat any one of those teams in a 7 game series, and at the same time I could seem them losing in 5 games to all of them too, here's hoping for the former.

GO JAZZ!!!

Defense and more defense.Win just win. They are good and moving towards great. They are still young and raw and still needing experience. That is why sloan says they need to make the playoffs even if you don't win it all he knows it will toughen them up and test them in ways that you just can't get in the regular season.

I believe it was Digger who said to Bob Knight that a teams wins ugly and Knight stopped him and said that no win is ugly. As long as you get a win it doesn't matter. No win is ugly. it might have been the other way around but I think it was those 2 guys talking. I kinda agree but no matter how it happens the extra talley mark in the win column is pretty. A win is a win and I will take as many as the Jazz can get.

It is obvious to me that the jazz are tired or hurting. Consistently playing offense and defense requires lots of energy as your constanly working at both ends of the floor. The lakers game demonstrated little offense and no defense. I think the jazz have run out of gas.

I would like to see more bench play the next three home games to give our starters some rest for a difficult April.

Play off match ups

We are not going to move higher than 4th seed. The most we can hope for is home court first round against houston in which I am actually quite fearful. They have a better coach this year. They are better without yao and better with scola and bobby jackson.

Then we had better hope Hornets stay 1 and LA stays at 2. Hornets are winable but LA I am not so sure. better leave them to the spurs/suns. And you know we would all love to see shaq take it to kobe.

Go Jazz.

Little offense? | 2:46 p.m. March 24, 2008
If I remember correctly the Jazz put up about 95 points against the Lakers didn't they? I do not remember exactly but I do believe it was in the mid 90s. Someone correct me if I am wrong though. To me that is not a bad offensive night, Yeah it is a little below average but it is still good enought to win a lot of games but unfortunately the Lakers shot extremely well and put up well over 100. I do not think we need to be so concerned with offense cause that is still pretty decent althought it is a bit lower than normal but it is defense that needs to get better over the next few games and into the playoffs. You need more than just being able to outrun teams in the playoffs. it may work once and if you are lucky twice but defense is where they will win a championship. And anytime you can get to the mid 90s you have a good chance to win

Are their others like me that are disapointed that Fes has not been brought up now to get some experience to provide some shot blocking and hard fouls in the play-offs?
adam d | 5:45 p.m. March 24, 2008
by little I mean less than average and I am mostly leaning on the first quarter 38-18 in favor of the Lakers. The jazz actually did outscore them in the remaining three. But 18 in a quater is horrible for the jazz.

I agree defense does win championships. However lets face it, the jazz are much better offensively than defensively. I think half of defense is energy and the other half is natural talent which I am not sure the jazz have. If you want a good defensive team we need to get some different players.
re: anonymous | 10:03 p.m. March 24, 2008
Yes. I am disappointed that Fes is not up yet.

I think if he had been here for the Lakers, as I hoped, average athletes like Radmanovic would have not had 2 dunks. you take away a few laker points in the paint I would not have had to see kobe strut around and pop his jersey.

Am I crazy? Am I the only person who sees that this kid could easily go for 5 pts, 5 reb, and a blk in limited minutes?

After watching Okurs defense against the Lakers I am ready for Collins to get back in and that is saying something.
NCJazzFan | 6:57 a.m. March 25, 2008
yada yada yada! Until the Jazz players run (not walk) on the floor with some Swagger and say..."You are going down, the only question is by how many!". They won't win a championship. When they get away from how do we win or how did we lose, and ask "Who's next?!" it will be a long had disappointing season for some.
Hmmm... | 1:42 p.m. March 25, 2008
Kirilenko for Yao trade anyone...? Houston isn't using him anymore, and T-Mac with Kirilenko would work well for Houston. Just a thought....
re: hmmmm | 4:24 p.m. March 25, 2008
Sorry but Yao is the overated. The guy is 7-6 and a monster. He is the "wilt chamberlein of our time" he should average 20 reb and 50 points a game and he loves injuries.

On top of that he is in the running for the league's MUVP(Most Un-valuable player). You know your in the running for this when your team extends a 12 game winning streak to 22 while your missing.

Oh but yes I have plans for AK. He will be valuable when we include him in a package deal for a dominant power forward and center. but I really dont want to talk about trades until after the playoffs.
Yao? | 2:45 p.m. March 27, 2008
Please don't ever mention Yao coming to the Jazz again. That would be the worst trade in the history of the NBA. He is not the big man the Jazz need. I would start cheering for the lakers if the Jazz picked up Yao.
