It's good that he's playing and that it's nothing major. Maybe take a few more outside shots during practice and stay a little outside this game. Memo can always use the work playing and driving inside so now would be a good time to do it.
Thats just what we don't need from Booz is an outside game. If he's not healthy enough to play his usual game he needs to sit. We have players able to take up the slack. Not for a long period but for a short time. In my opinion his game is 15 feet and in, nothing beyond that. If other players are on their game we will be just fine, thats the beautiful part about this team. Go Jazz.
Boozer announced on 1320 KFAN that his back has been hurting for two months but he has just been playing through it.
Obviously the most recent event being discussed was more of an acute strain to an already bothersome problem.
Hope he is able to get it treated to be truly well enough for the stretch run and playoffs.
Last time we beat the Flakers without he and Memo.
After we punk the Lakers tonight maybe he should sit while we play some of the softer teams at home. We have a ton of offensive players who can score.
With the Lakers a bit soft in the middle without their two key bigs, we definitely need Booze to play and play well tonight, as he will create match up problems and open the floor for other guys. I look for coach Jackson to make Boozer prove he can perform tonight before he drops off the perimeter and pack it in a little. If Booze can't perform, Harp and Paper-Boy better show up big time in the post.
Boozer will play, but I just don't believe he has to force the play inside too much.I agree with the fact that we have others that can play inside and should play inside tonight with the lakers being weakened a little right now. But, as I have said before, offensively were fine, it's the defense that needs to gear up for the playoffs. Memo needs to work alot inside now before the playoffs for teams can't make him be one dimensional. It will be TEAM defense that will decide if the Jazz can make it through several rounds of the playoffs because almost every team has scorers and can score.
