It's great to finally have somebody really talking about the problems in Afghanistan. That's where the threat has always been, and will continue to be.
This soldier is absolutely correct. Iraq has distracted this country from fighting Al Qaeda where it really lives, in Afghanistan. Invading Iraq was a huge strategic blunder. There were no WMDs, and there was no support of terrorism by the Iraqi government when we invaded without provocation. Not a single hijacker on 9/11 had any connection to Iraq at all. To this day it is a mystery why Bush decided to invade Iraq. The only thing known for sure is that the administration has not been forthcoming about its true motives for starting this war.
