Good luck to Spencer in his race. He's up for a challenge. I really hope David Leavitt is the nominee for the GOP to run against Spencer. He's by far the most qualified candidate. But with five guys so far in the race for the GOP nominee, we'll see.
There will definitely be a change in this election - it's just a question of which candidate can pull it off. I'm interested to meet these folks who like David Leavitt. I've received countless pieces of mail from the guy and I still couldn't tell you one thing he stands for. Chaffetz has the best website by far - it actually says something. Bennion Spencer has a steep mountain to climb, but it's a good year to be a Democrat.
Best of luck to Mr. Spencer. The third district certainly needs some better representation.
Ben Spencer is a fresh face who could give the district the kind of respresenation they deserve. Best of luck Ben!
Bennion spencer has the technology to reduce fossil fuel consumption and costs 25% across the board and will bring it to Utah for Utah.
Bennion Spencer knows harvetsing wind and solar power will not spill our children's blood on foriegn soil and will have the government paying the people.
We built Utah and we will rebuild Utah.
The rich won't get richer and the poor won't get poorer on Bennion's watch.
Bennion spencer has real solutions to real problems for Utah's working families, jobs, fuel savings, food savings, tax savings, education for Utah.
Provo's Mormon Combat Veterans support Bennion Spencer for Congress.
Ben's a good man. I hope the voters will look at what's best for the state, rather than simply voting a straight party ticket.
We'll see if Mr. Bennion has a fighting chance in November as a democrat in Utah. No matter how good a person he is, it's tough to win with that "D" behind your name. I think his best chance would have been against Mr. Cannon since people are fed up with the current GOP. Against Jason Chaffetz I just don't see him getting enough traction. The 3rd district is just too conservative.
Mr. Obama will make it especially hard for dems here if he keeps spouting his socialized-everything agenda...we don't appreciate that so much. We believe in the power of the individual and community, not a hand-out happy government.
Over the past two days I've heard this guy called Spencer Bennion and Bennion Spencer by major media outlets. America needs more community college guys in government, but this one seems to be a blueprint of the last couple of Democrats in the 3rd District. He's just somebody who wants to increase his name recognition and has no chance to represent Utah in Congress.
