Aggie in Colo

It's time to win a post season game. Congratulations to the team and Stew on a good season. Winning 24 games again is a significant accomplishment. However, it's time for USU to move to a higher level and start winning some post season games. It's been very disappointing the last few years to complete a great season and then immediately lose in either the NCAAs or NIT. It's time for this program to achieve more than winning 23+ games during the year. It's time to start making some noise in the post season as well. Go Aggies!!!

Won't happen this year. Got a terrible draw as a 7 seed and on the road.

I'm sick and tired of the aggies feeling sorry for themselves and not playing hard in the NIT. Let's go win this thing. Why Not? We can beat Illinois State and then Dayton or Cleveland STate. Why not lets go make some noise and let people know that the WAC is not a bad conference. I am sick and tired of the Aggies not playing hard in the NIT. I wish the Aggie players could read this. If you are not going to go and play hard from start to finish stay home. Please take some pride in Utah State and lets get to Madison Square Garden.

tough draw

hopefully the ags can pull it out. stew is great, usu gets no respect and has been stuck at good seasons and not so good post seasons for awhile.

southern aggie,

The Aggies will play hard and have played hard in some of the other NIT games, but this is a different team. Last year with very little rest they went to Michigan and played a good game. Session got hurt and it was still a one point game with 4 minutes left when Jaycee got his fourth foul. This is a very good Illinois State team and the Aggies could still play well and lose. Also, I don't think the players read this and if they did I really don't think they care what you (or I) say. GO AGGIES!

Jim

Let's win an NIT game for once! The Aggies have a better chance of winning Illinois State than they did at Michigan last year.

I think what happened to the WAC is an absolute disgrace. The tourney champ, Boise St. got stuck with a 14-seed, a seeding usually reserved for the MEAC champion or Big Sky champ. Even the Big West got a better seed. Then the regular season champion got a 7 seed in the NIT, while two other very worthy teams in NMSU and Nevada, were left out all together. I know the WAC had a down year by their standards, but there were still 4 20-win teams and even the bottom of the league wasn't as bad as it had been in years past.

I want my mommy!!!!!!! the aggies cried.

Boise State's RPI was 87 -- just 3 points higher than Portland State, which wound up a 16 seed. BSU killed itself with bad losses to Montana State (RPI 236) and Loyola Marymount (RPI 308), and a 23-point blowout at home to Siena in the brackbuster game.

Boise State's RPI is 87, just three spots higher than Portland State (a No. 16 seed). The Broncos killed themselves with terrible loses to Montana State (RPI 236) and Loyola Marymount (RPI 308), and a 23-point waxing by Siena at home in the Bracketbusters.

At least the Aggies are in the post season for like the 9th year in a row. How many consecutive post season appearances do the other 2 wannabe programs in the state have? I either forgot their names or I just don't care. Must be latter. GO AGGIES!!!!!

The WAC had a ton of talent this year but failed to play up to that talent. It ended up with about the same RPI as the Big West, and was about even with the Big West and Big Sky in head to head match ups. In college basketball, you don't get selected to the Big Dance based on what you've done in the past, you actually have to earn it each year. So the WAC was seeded appropriately with only one bid. Utah State lost to Weber, Irvine, Cal Poly, and a very mediocre Utah team, as well as to Hawaii and San Jose State. When a team loses games like those, it can't really expect the selection committee to take it very seriously.

BOISE ST

Boise had a GOOD WIN against Humble BYU. Thank cummards wife for setting such great standards, how many punches did she throw?

Jeffrey

Two teams that should be in the NCAA'S are playing each other in the first game. Which ever one dosen't feel sorry for themselves and plays with a chip on their shoulder will probable be the NIT Champion.

Aggies

10 years for Stew at USU, 5 NCAAs, 4 NITs postseason births. So tell me who has the best bb program in the state. Its as always, up NORTH

we all know the ags will choke in the post season...good lord. you'd think we'd know how to act in the post season. we still havent quit whining since we got shafted when we were in the top 25...i dont think they'll ever get over it. once they do..they may win
