does anyone agree with me that D-will often ignors AK on the court? He's
shooting much better and is often wide open--still, D-will looks to someone
else. AK is a great passer and I think needs more chances from D-Will. Let me
know what you think.

Deron is the true all-star on this team right now. Teams need to remember not to
piss him off.
Violet Palmer is the worst official in the league. It seems like every time I noticed a bad call, she was making it.
NBA players need to find shoes that have substance over style. Ray's shoes were nice to look at, but not to play in. His fancy gold shoes should have been left at the end of the rainbow.
Boozer needs to heed his own advice and drive, drive, drive. He just keeps falling away, away away.

Jimmy would like to see DWill keep up his agressiveness on the road, where this
Jazz team usually settles for too many outside shots in these games. If the
Jazz can come back having won 3 of 4, Jimmy would be happy.

What a game last night! Everyone that played did well. Sloan did a good job
limiting the number of players who played, which is an indicator of who will be
in the rotation as the playoffs near. D Will was just amazing, and the Jazz
just seemed to pull it together on the defensive end of the floor to take KG,
Pierce and the other Celtic bullies out of their games early on. I worry about
KG and his mannerisms. He looks like a headcase. Paul Pierce was totally
exasperated and couldn't believe what was happening. That female referee
was a bit bizarre in some of the calls and nocalls she made. Perkins for the
Celtics is another thug in the league, and needs to be thumped by someone for
the baloney he was doing in the game. He should have been tossed for the
atrocious foul he laid on Williams. Now after this game, the Jazz need to
bottle what they did in Boston, and try and sweep the rest of games, which I
know is a practical impossibility, but quit losing to the teams they should
beat. Losing to Chicago was not a good thing.

The Jazz exposed the Celtics big weakness last night, the Celts have no point
guard. Just who is Rajon Rondo, anyway??? I think Boston is going to run out of
gas, no way do they make it to the finals. Now the Jazz have to avoid a letdown
vs. New Jersey. With all the losses on the road against bad teams, one would
think the Jazz have learned their lesson by now and will take every team
seriously.

Williams is a STUD! When Jerkins jerked him to the floor, he didn't get up
for a while and it looked like he couldn't see very well. He got
P.O.'d and you could see the fire in his swoolen eyes. They looked like two
swoolen plumbs. He stepped up to the line and knocked down two. Since it was a
flagrant we inbounded the ball and D'Will knocked down a three. Then he
looked at Jerkins and yelled something that wasn't very nice at him. That,
all in crunchtime in the Gaaaden. Will is showing me things that I didn't
know he had. Things that very few players that have ever played this game have.

Golden state is 4 1/2 games out of first place in the west. Detroit is also 4
1/2 games out of first place, but they are in the east. The standings change in
the west several times a day.

I am so proud of the Jazz players. They really gave a great effort against the
Celtics. Having to play the next night in another city could be scarey though.

The milsap is sweet. In the 3rd when Boozer was 0 for 5, the Milsap comes in and
goes to work down in the paint with the big boys at times coming out of the
middle of 3 big green monsters with the ball. I agree with clarky boy and Adam
Q. Milsap and Williams are the future,but we're in the now and we have a
chance to make a run NOW!!!! The whole team is contributing and Capt. Sloan
coached a H...ck of a ballgame hateful one. GO JAZZ!!!!!

Sloan needs to figure out a way to limit Derron's minutes. It looks as if
he has no confidence in Price, based upon his minutes and Sloan's
playcalling for him. I would like to see Andre in spot minutes and even Brewer.
If jerry gave brewer the "green light" to handle the ball and go to
the hole when the opportunity is there, I think it would be very beneficial
becasue brewer can pass and draw fouls. I don't think Price is capable of
more than 6 minutes in tough games, and it is obvious sloan feels the same way.

It's nice to see that teammates will talk to each other during a game in
ways that turn out to be effective. Boozer's comment to Williams to be more
aggressive because he could tell Boston was keying himself (Boozer) so much that
he was being ineffective, was likely part of the catalyst in getting Deron to
continue to drive to the basket the rest of the game.
Hopefully, that bruising experience won't deter him in the future.

It was interesting that the Sports Center highlights of the game led off with
the Rondo steal of DWill and subsequent (travel) and slam-dunk. The Jazz
aren't flashy enough for the media - they're just hard-nosed and
efficient..

D-Will is running ALL of Sloans plays and his offense. Between D-Wills athletic abilities, court vision, and the intrinsic opportunities this offense provides--this team is rolling.
D-Will stuffed every run the Celtics made by driving, getting fouled, going to the line, and making the shots. He seemed to catch on real quick last night that instead of having to call a timeout during a Celtic run, all he had to do was drive to the hole and get to the line to stop the momentum. It worked repeatedly. Stockton and Malone did it all the time. That was veteran savvy play from a young talented player.
Almost every night lately he seems to be discovering something else he can do to make his team win.
This guy is on the road to greatness!!
Okur drove to the basket a couple of times as well--at Celtic--run-busting times. Millsap is a workhorse that made a big difference as well last night.

D-Will shouldn't pass to AK. Nobody else should either. He is way too
inconsistent and normally doesn't shoot the ball well. He takes
ill-advised shots. Jazz should have let him go when he was whining last year.

This game gave me hope for the Jazz in the playoffs. Its awesome to see how they
come out and play against the big teams. I just wish they would do the same
against the little guys. But either way I think they are going to come out and
play in the playoffs. I haven't been this giddy for them since 1997 and
1998. GO JAZZ!!!!!!!

It's crazy that as great as D-Will is, when the history books are written
it will be agreed that the Jazz passed on the better point gaurd. D-Will is one

Williams averages 23 and 12 with 3 more turnovers per game and two less steals. Plus Chris Pauls team is tied for the best record in the west.

Your right on the money. That's the one area Williams could improve our
team. AK doesn't take bad shots or a lot of them. He will take good ones
enough to keep the defense honest, but the majority of the time he will hit the
open man.

Uncle Dean how can you say that Paul is better than D-Will, just what did Paul
do last year when Williams led his team to the Western Finals, and who is
dominating in the head to head matchups. Paul has had one good year, and watch
him get knocked out of the first round. Secondly D-Will is much stronger than
Paul which means a lot when you are talking about a long career in the NBA when
the college kids our coming in stronger and stronger every year. Im not saying
that Paul is a bad player cause the kid can play im just saying that D-Will has
had a bettter career thusfar, Paul hasn't even made it to the playoffs yet.
Jazz made the correct choice in Deron and I wouldn't trade him for Paul.
Deron fits in with the Jazz and their offense, watch D-Will to have a solid
career, while Paul will have a up and down career.

Boozer learned team basketball in Juneau and at Duke. He doesn't have to be
"the man". He took his game to the Celtics in the first quarter last
night and the Celtics adjusted. He is a team player and just wants the W. If you
want just a one person team then you should be Cleveland fans. I sure bet they
wish they had Carlos.

I do it like the rest of you. I compare Paul's nightly stats to
Williams'. I've concluded that trying to pick between the two at this
point would be sort of like trying to pick between Larry and Magic in their
prime. Larry and Magic both had unreal talent and ability to lead their teams
to victory on a consistent basis. Laker fans would have never given up Magic for
Larry. Celtics fans would have never given up Larry for Magic.
I believe this is the same for Hornets fans and Paul and Jazz fans and D-Will.
The only other players in the league currently who are as exciting to watch as Paul and Williams are Kobe and Lebron.
WIlliams' all-star snub to Brandon Roy is looking more and more ridiculous with every game!
Rather than try and decide if the Jazz made the right choice or not, people are missing out amazing performances from two amazing players...on a nightly basis!

Everyone suddenly loves Kyle Korver but no one seems to be saying anything about
how streaky he is. He is an excellent shooter and has one of the smoothest shot
releases in the NBA, but sometimes he takes too fast and ill-advised shots. Some
nights he can be so hot but other nights he can't hit the side of a barn
and keeps chucking them up. Also, everyones bagging on here about AK's 3
point shooting...did any of you know he actually has a higher 3 point percentage
than Korver (.398 compared to .371), and the second highest on the team behind
C.J. Miles (.417). Also since the Korver trade (Dec. 29) Kirilenko's 3
point percentage is 45% while Korver's is only 40%. Don't get me wrong
I love Korver and he does so many things for the Jazz offense and can be lethal,
but AK's quietly almost unnoticed or appreciated by Jazz fans torching the
nets behind the 3 point line this year.

The real deciding factor among DWill and CP3 will be rings, and nothing else.
Go to the ESPN ratings of best point guards and see how many rated Isaiah ahead
of Stockton. Isaiah was NOT the better guard over Stockton, but he lead his
team to 2 finals victories, hence he will forever be placed above John in most
people's (who live outside of Utah) minds.
The Hornets are playing good ball, but so are the Jazz right now. Also remember, being tied for first in the west, that position has been held by SIX teams over this season. It is hardly a grand accomplishment to be the next in line and get lucky because you don't play and another team loses one. The Jazz are 2 games out of first, and could be there at the end.
Also, go back further than 5 games, back to the allstar game, and Williams is ahead of Paul in most stat categories.
