What is more curious is why isn't there more games on VERSUS? It has a wider viewing potential than the other two channels. The MWC has reallly missed the boat on that one.

Common BOB your trying to tell me that UNLV has a better national following than BYU, we have the biggest fan base in the conference, not to mention two straight conference championships. We have a fan base that stretches across the world, BYU is coming and were not going away.

Bob was tring to say that throughout the nation UNLV has some respect for it's basketball program. Mainly because it was a dominate program (final fours, national champs, tons of all americans) from the late 70s until the early 90s, but even last year the rebels made a sweet sixteen run. What has BYU done in basketball? Can BYU compare to UNLV in basketball tradition? Not even close! the last BYU victory in the NCAAs was 1992 and last multi win tourament season was 1981 or something like that, so it is true BYU does not compare to UNLV nationaly.

I went to the UNLV game at BYU, and the Game at UNLV.

At BYU there was a smattering of UNLV fans. At UNLV, BYU had a strong following. I would guess that if that is the way it is at home and home, it would follow all around the country.

BYU's program has had enough wins to keep a strong following.

Tark is gone.

Soooo, it is true that UNLV does not compare to UNLV nationally.

Sorry, there babe...

I agree, I would much rather get the time between games and the rest for game two.

The reason they were on both channels is they were evening games.
The MWC has never cared about what is best for the fans.

Go Cougs!!!

I deeply resent the game Friday being advertised on the Mtn and then having an AFA intermural boxing tournament shown instead of the #1 seed game in the conference being shown. This whole arrangement with the conference and Mtn is a sham, discipible, and entirely unacceptable Shame on the school presidents and ADs for putting up with this during football and basketball. I have never seen it so bad and feel betrayed.

Scott, just because you're a TV writer doesn't mean that there is always an interesting TV angle from which you can write about sports. There was no story here -- you would have done better to write yet another rant story about the mtn.

Okay, here's another Cougar Fan that realizes that the time slot is no big deal. Welcome to tournament basketball, the #1 seed is never given a prime time slot against the lowest seed in the bracket. Always the way it has been, wasted ink on this one. But the MTN still stinks! :-)

In the old days, the only BYU gmes I could watch on TV were the bowl games and tournament champion game (plus the NCAA's). Today, because we don't have either Versus or CSTV on our cable system, I see the worst games of the year. The Arizona, UCLA and Tulsa games were on the sister networks and I couldn't see them. This week, I was able to see the Ram - Cougar blowout, but couldn't watch either the Aztec or Rebel games.

If there was a way to allow fans to see ALL the games, then I could live with Tne Mtn's limited distribution.

Sheesh ......
