How can you beat someone (like Matheson) who never gets negative press coverage?

There are people in this state with normal lives and who never get involved in politics who get more bad press than Matheson.

Gee, a Republican running against Republican Matheson. Hmmm. Why rock the boat? Matheson gives the Republican side solid support in Congress. I doubt Dew could do (pun?) a better job for the GOP than Matheson. Don't forget, Matheson is a sheep in sheep's clothing.

Darn, when I saw the headline I thought it was Sheri Dew who was running. I was hoping for a down to earth but eloquent Republican to give Rep. Matheson a good run.

As one of Mathesons southernmost constituents, I have had more than one occasion to disagree with his stand on isssues. However, Mr. Dew is going to have to prove to me that he's not another RINO before he has a prayer of getting my vote. Just having an 'R' behind his name isn't going to cut it.
I believe the same is true among most others here in the southern part of the state.Independence from the sway of the LDS church will be a cutting issue.

Bill Dew is one of the finest men I have ever known. We are lucky he is willing to run.

I'm a state delegate and Bill Dew came by my house to meet me. I only had a brief conversation with him but he seams to be working hard to get the nomination. I also met Merrill Cook for the first time at the Sandy Library last night. Bill makes a better first impression than Merrill does.

I have known Bill Dew for many years; he has more integrity than anyone I know. He thoughtfully reviews all sides of an issue before coming to a conclusion. We couldn't have a better man represent us. Bill you have my vote.

I too have known Bill for many (15) years. He does indeed have more integrity than anyone I know and it shows in everything he does. This is the type of man we need in Congress. Sure, Matheson is a good man, and he shares many good conservative beliefs, but Matheson does not support tax cuts, nor is he a strong supporter of traditional family values and right-to-life issues. Matheson is a Democrat in Republican clothing and when the chips fall, you can count on him to be a Democrat. Bill Dew on the other hand will always do what is morally right. He wants to end ear-marks and pork barrel spending, and will fight to bring government spending under control. Our government is 9.5 trillion dollars in debt. Just to put that in perspective: a trillion hours ago was 100 billion years before our Universe was created! Our national debt is nearly ten times that! Eliminating the National Debt is Bill's top priority. Bill has my support all the way.
