I agree this report needs to be put into context afdter other reports are completed. But it does provide clear evidence of what happens when the fox is guarding the henhouse.

Utah's senators are also partially wrong as well. The Department of Labor, MSHA in particular for this issue, has been eliminating worker safety regulations relentlessly during the entire Bush administration. With the overly friendly pro-business (and virulently anti-worker) approach of those departments, expecting any internal investigation or report to accurately reflect reality is uninformed and naive at best.

It would be refreshing to see Utah's senators take a stand that serves their constituents interest rather than their usual protect-the-stablishment-at-any-cost (constituents be damned) approach.
