Energy Solutions has run a very successful high level PR campaign. But I really doubt their technical ability and competance. Steve Creamer after all was behind Syncrete and the Quail Creek Dam, both of which were utter disasters and cost the state millions.

Nuclear material can be recycled, the French have
been doing it for quite a while now. At the end of
the life cycle only 5% needs to stored, awaiting
the day when we can use fission.
All the spent fuel that cannot be recycled, is
stored in a room, not a mountain. Maybe we need to
talk to the French.

To me, the biggest concern is the ongoing security threat of having the material stolen and turned into dirty bombs. This is a very long term threat and our corporate structure doesn't insure that the people who benefit pay for the long term cost.

Let Italy store it's own terrorist candy.
