Miles to start eh! I for one will be glad when this season is over, and hopefully see another high school phenom that had no business in this league to begin with go elsewhere to hone his skills. He should have spent the entire season last year in the D-League like Fess and Almond have, instead of on the bench with the Jazz. How many more are we going to draft before we get it? Unless they are a specimen like James,Howard,Kobe and McGrady(and who can tell) the NBA should make the rule that at least two years of college is required. Miles is at least 2yrs away at best. Almond would drill him one- on-one now.
how can you say almond would kill miles??? almond has not played more than 10 minutes in the nba..the d-league is garbage for a comparison.
I have to agree somewhat with Thankful. If you compare their D-league time (games played in the D-league), Almond kills Miles in every category. Miles never came close to 50 point outings, Almond has had 2. Miles never came close to leading the league in scoring. Almond does just that. I know Almond has played many more games in the D-league than Miles did, but Miles had him 10+ game stretches...more than enough to get it going. Yet all we ever saw from him was 12-15 points on a good night, a couple of rebounds, couple of assists, etc. Almond just needs some PT in the NBA to surpass Miles right now.
It is unfair to compare Miles and Almond, Almond had 4 yrs of college and learned how to be the go to guy. Miles has sat on the bench (for the most part) and hasn't had much of a chance to develope. Sloan is not very good for young guys and there developement. He dosen't help build confidence in young players, he is too negative. I like Almond but I feel C J has more potential.I think Miles plays better Defense (probably why he gets more time than Almond) and is just scratching the surface of his potential. I agree that Miles should have spent more time in the D league. McGrady, Germaine O'Neal, and Rashard Lewis took 4 or 5 yrs to develope. I hope the Jazz are patient and stay with Miles.
How many High Schoolers have you seen drafted since Lebron? Smart Guy.
1 year required, what are you talking about?
One cannot compare the two untill Almond has had a couple of years and some minutes under his belt.
ummmmm.....the nba did make a similar rule. They recently changed the rule to where you need to be at least 19 or 1 year removed from high school.
hey now... obviously we read this article because in some way we find basketball to be amazing right!? well let the NBA do what the NBA does and watch and be happy=) i love basketball!! woooo
Hmmm....maybe because you can't draft high schoolers anymore, genius.
This smart guy knows that the rule is now 1 year,if that is what your referring to. The point was--that 1 year is not enough. Punk high schoolers need maturity both physical and mental, do you understand that.
So, has anyone heard about the suspension that Dirk received for his flagrant foul on AK-47?
Nowitzki was suspended for one game without pay. He will miss the game against Houston.
