"Premiums have increased on average by 72 percent since 2000, while incomes have increased by about 7 percent."

Something needs to be done about this. How can regular working people afford health care? Many companies no longer offer this benefit and are not willing to raise incomes by 72% to offset the multimillion dollar bonuses that CEOs of health insurance carriers are receiving.

The biggest issue that has to be fixed is charging exorbitant premiums for the privately insured and denying care to anyone with any health conditions at all.
