It's obvious that some of you don't like Miller. But she just made a choice for her chief criminal deputy that everyone agrees with -- and he supported Kent in the election, which was never a secret. Why would she promote such a competent, well-liked attorney who didn't support her in the campaign if she was so arrogant and political? Stop making stuff up, people. Try to show a little dignity.
Given the personal and vindictive nature of your comments, it is you who should be ashamed, not Lohra. Your spitefulness is bad for the office morale. If you truly cared about the office, you'd show some class.

Get your facts, you've hit the nail on the head. There are many people in the D.A.'s office that didn't support Ms. Miller in the election, yet they haven't been singled out, disciplined, fired, etc. The prosecutors who have stayed in this office do so because they're committed to seeking justice, regardless of who the elected official is. The complainers, many of whom could probably be sued for libel or slander, apparently have nothing better to do with their time than speculate about things they know nothing about except through rumor and hearsay.

That support is waning since he has become a eunuch.

Yes, her chief criminal deputy Paul Parker is well-liked. However, you have your facts wrong. He supported Lohra and made it well known during the election even to the extent that if someone spoke negatively about her, he asked them to stop. I agree with you that spitefulness is bad for the office morale--you should tell Lohra to stop being so spiteful.

Considering there were over 20 prosecutors who left the office (about 1/3 of the staff), that's a VERY LARGE group that Lohra singled out, disciplined, fired, alienated, and treated poorly. As for libel and slander, it's impossible to commit defamation of character when it's true.

Dear "Get your facts" & "Right on",

You don't have a clue. Every negative blog about Lohra Miller is unequivocally TRUE. Either you don't know her, or you are the "friends" everyone keeps talking about.

You want facts? Here they are: FACT: 20+ GREAT attorneys are gone from the DA's office since Lohra's reign just over ONE year ago. FACT: Lohra does have law enforcement on her side (her campaign slogan was "ask a cop"). FACT: Lohra dismissed several cases against those cops. FACT: Lohra repeatedly denied that her best friend Michaela would return to the DA's office as an Administrator - then an Administrative position was created JUST for Michaela 3 months into her term. FACT: Michaela's team was given 2 paralegals for 4 attorneys while other teams suffer with 1 paralegal for up to as many as 12 attorneys! FACT: Droves of Lohra's friends are being hired at MUCH higher pay than the current staff. FACT: The office moral is at an ALL time low. WELL KNOWN FACT: Lohra wanted Kent Morgan OUT. She made negative comments about him at meet & greets before the election. FACT: If you didn't support Lohra you are SCARED right now!

"I've got the Facts," you've obviously got a difference of opinion regarding the attorneys who have left the office. A few of them were great, but they left for higher paying &/or more flexible jobs. There were several, however, who were mediocre at best. It's true that Lohra said that Michaela wouldn't return as an administrator (e.g. Chief deputy) and this is still true. Michaela is a team leader, which is not an administrative position. Lohra offered this position (team leader over domestic violence) to others within the office first, but none of them wanted it. Michaela handled a large amount of DV cases in West Jordan and was/is committed to the cause. Therefore, she was a natural fit. Some people don't like Michaela on a personal level, which is their choice, but there's no denying she's an excellent trial attorney. Her return to the office has been very beneficial to all DV victims. If more people would simply do their jobs and not engage in juvenile gossiping behavior, they'd find that they have a job that many envy. These same people complained about things under Mr. Yocom too. The only difference is they didn't blog about it.
What else? | 12:53 p.m. March 9, 2008
Let's clarify - I believe Team Leader is an administrative position! No comments on the rest of the stuff? Didn't think so!!!!
