Itchy, sniffly misery of spring hits Utahns

My feeling is that the altitude is a factor that comes into play. People end up having dry nasal passages and become vulnerable to all kinds of issues, including respiratory problems. When I lived on the west coast at roughly sea level, I didn't have one iota of a problem that I have living above 4,000 feet in Utah. I use saline spray and coat the inside of my nose with aquaphor daily, and I have no problem with allergies. This also aids in keeping coldfree. The other over the counter products and prescriptions seem to just gunk up my body with stuff that causes other unwanted side effects.

I just had to add a comment. I usually don't do this. But if you suffer from allergies and have itchy watery eyes you could try and wear contacts. I have worn contacts in the past and it fixes that problem for me. Then I only have one or two other symptoms to worry about. It also decreases the other medicine I have to take since my reactions are reduced.

Spring is here...it's getting warmer and it's bringing people outside; however, it's also allergy season for those who suffer from tree pollens. Take the advice from doctors and continuously use your allergy meds to make them effective. Go Dad!!! He's the greatest allergist!!!! And has helped me with ALL of my allergies.
