Terribly sad. But just. Judge Nolan did the right thing. Next fall, come hazing time, more coaches might think to be on the alert and more players might find better things to do than stick their genitals in other players faces. And let's not downplay this as "horseplay." If the young man in question were to receive harsh hazing treatment while incarcerated, I doubt we would call that "just having fun."

"Horseplay?" "We all make mistakes?" "Just having fun?" Who are you trying to fool here, guys? High school bullies pervertally (sic) attacked an innocent student and got what they deserved! Good for you, Judge Nolan! Justice was served!

Wrong

You are wrong Bob. The genitals are a bad thing but they are high school teenage kids. They didn't mean any harm. Sorry guys but this was just boys being boys, problem is that this went too far and he has other charges so he really has no case. This kind of behavior is wrong but felony worthy, I don't know. Let's not overreact here just because the judge did. How about some sympathy and understanding for these kids who were dumb. Everyone relax!

Dave

So, what is the consequence?

Re: Wrong

Your attitude of "boys being boys" is such a huge part of our society becoming more and more irresponsible. If we don't hold "high school teenage kids" responsible for their behavior, they just become adults who feel they are above the law and there will never be consequences for their behavior.
