I used to like Leap Year--it's quirky and fun. But now that I'm a salaried employee, it makes me upset. Every four years, I have to work an extra day. When they came up with the idea for a Leap Day, why didn't they make it a holiday?
It's all caused by global warming.
Bitter Employee, you've got it all wrong. You're not working an extra day every 4th year, you're working one day less the other three!
If you're salaried per month, then February is always a "Bonus" month. Typically up to two days less work for the same paycheck! Isn't it just TOO BAD that this year you only get one bonus day this month....
There is indeed an additional working day in 2008 (262 days, not counting holidays). In 2009 and 2010 there will only be 261 working days, and only 260 in 2011! The next leap year (2012) will have 261 working days, the same as the non-leap years 2009 and 2010.
This is a completely pointless post, but I was a little curious to see how the positioning of the weekends near the new year affected things.
Happy Birthday Uncle Fred.
WooHoo, Uncle Fred. It's your "19th" birthday...Not bad for being born in 1932! Have a good one...
