Governor Huntsman,
Your job is to support the existing laws and serve the will of the people. Please, pay attention to the will of the people. We don't want Utah to become the last gathering sanctuary for illegal aliens. We want to promote legal immigration to the state. Why do you refuse to support the law? You should be setting the example, not dragging your feet. You have lived a priviledged life so far, now wake up and look at the average legal Utahn and help us, not illegal aliens that have no legal standing in this country.
Why doesn't Huntsman become a leader instead of a cheerleader for political correctness? Where is his backbone?! He could be an example to all 300 million Americans of a politician who is serious about immigration reform and national sovereignty. Instead, he wants to wait and see what the federal overlay is? The federal government has been careless with our borders for decades. It's time to take action and set an example! The time to take action is NOW, Jon Jr.! Be Utah's #1 MAN, not the puppet of inaction!
Do these guys ever talk to each other?
Huntsman;
Today
"Our state does need to do something and recognize that, I think, the federal response is right around the corner," the governor said, suggesting there needs to be time for the federal government "to catch up and do what they're going to do."
Senator Bennett a week ago;
February 19
On the Utah Senate chambers floor today.
Senator Robert Bennett in effect stated that the Federal Government has no plans to address the illegal immigration issue for "Five More Years"
Well which is guys?
Are you an american or illegal immigrant yourself? If you are american then listen to those of us who were born in this country legally - SIGN THE BILL
all this people don't know whats going on but some of us have friend or somebody we know who's been trying to get their legal situation taking care of and the federal goverment drags their feet if you look for somebody to blame blame the system we know of people waiting on line for 15+ years and nothing is happening yet thanks gov Huntsman because every day that goes by is a day of hope for millions to get ther legal situation fix...keep it up
Huntsman and Bramble are both hoping for "Comprehensive Reform," or in lay terms Amnesty after the general election. These guys are major supporters of open borders and cheap labor.
The governer should be ashamed of what he is allowing to happen to the citizens of Utah at the hands of illegl alians. When I last checked this country this was a republic with strong state rights however, it appears our gorverner supports the business comunity over the people. They need cheap labor and he committed to allow this lawless to continue. I got an idea why not raise our taxes again so we can better support this criminal element.
