what more is there to say?

What a disappointment! Gov. Huntsman VETO this legislations. Laws are created all the time and some of them are bad as this one.

I would like to know, what law undocumented immigrants brake. How is the law classified and what are it's penalties.
Can anyone tell me?

IT'S ABOUT TIME

YES,WE,THE LEGISLATURE ARE PUTTING OUR COLLECTIVE FOOT DOWN AND WON'T TOLERATE THIS OUTRAGE ANYMORE!!
(starting a year from now,maybe,unless of course we change our minds(????) or the Governor,Congress,the President, or anyone with the least amount of actual authority raises the tiniest little objection of any sort for any reason,real or imaginary). What a pack of clowns we have 'running' this state. Throw the bums out!

Although I disagree with the delayed implementation, I appreciate Senator Hickman's efforts to get this through. He tried very hard to not allowed the delayed implementation.

Kudos to Senator Hickman and all those who supported him!

WE, the people of Utah have fought long and hard for this bill. The vast majority of Utahns and Legislators want it passed. Don't even consider a veto. A veto is NOT what the people want. We call upon you to support the opinion of the people who elected you.

An okay bill. Just okay. Hard to know why it doesn't come into force March 1st and why it doesn't include private employers. But I guess we have some time to get that added.

The law doesn't go far enough. The next step should be to round up everyone who is in this country illegally, and send them back to their own countries.

The majority have spoken on this issue, now the Governor must have the courage to respect that. Illegals need to leave and come back when they can obey the law.

Good BUT why wait over one year to implement this bill... WE NEED IT NOW! Sounds like the legislature is stalling... waiting for McCain or one of the Democrats to come in and give complete amnesty to a group of people that have absolutely NO regard for US law.

It's a disgrace that the drivers license privilege was stripped from this bill.

Huntsman sign it if you are a true AMERICAN. No one should be refused a job because they are not bilingual. If you veto this bill you are very much against those who live in this country legal and are showing your true colors - and they are not red, white and blue.

I say if Mr. Huntsman vetos this thing, we get together and referendum this bill and get it on the ballot. It's about time we take back our country and all the money we spend on supporting illegals while they thumb their noses at us and break our laws. I hope the homeless citizens of this country will get the much needed funding they need to get off the streets - instead of housing and feeding those that have no legal right to be here. Hey, Mr. Anonymous, what is your last name HOLMES - so we can send you back...where you can get in line and come here legally.

Interesting to see that nobody made a law such as this for Mr. Brigham and his people when they came illegally into this territory. Same for the pilgryms, the natives had no chance. Enjoy the trouble to come.

utah will be flooded by illigels coming from arizona

Alhough I recognize that there is a large problem with illelgal immigrants within our borders, I think that the passage of this bill and the "heaping on" for individuals who are already here trying to eat, live and pursue a better life, tells more about our hearts and selfishness than it does about the undocumented workers themselves. Many have seen Les Miserables and detest the government agent Joubert as he hounds Jean Valjean, for a lifetime. His original crime... stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family... it was after all the law!!! Have we become so hard hearted, to become like Joubert??? If we err on this issue, let us err on the side of compassion in every way. Perhaps LDS Pres Eyring's counsel should apply here as well: "We can begin today to try to see those we are to nourish as our Heavenly Father sees them and so feel some of what He feels for them." The Governor needs to stand and do what is right in this case, regardless of public opinion.

This feel much like the 1930's Germany. Are we going to put them into a "Getho" so we know who they are? Are we going to keep taking their taxes without a chance to be represented? I guess that there is not "Tea" to throw overboard for the immigrants . . . Did we really learned anything from our founding fathers? I guess not!!

We can't go backwards in reference to Brigham and his lot. We are dealing with the laws of todays society. Get out of the past and live in the prsent and future. If we allow all the illegal aliens to stay because of their families then we need to open the prison doors and allow those people to go home and support their families too. Laws are laws for all not just illegals who will not learn the language of the USA and fly their countrys flag mmmm why don't they go home and fight for their rights in their countrys. Lets just open the flood gates and see how much the compassionate souls will accept into their neighbourhoods

We the people? A few vocal minority is "THE PEOPLE"? give me a break. How can any of us say that we the people are favoring all this hate, anti-immigrant bills.

The way to properly say is "We the small vocal minority, anti-mexican want these bills passed"
