Have I missed something in Utah County what/where is the spot that would attract a tourist?

Having grown up in Utah County let me rise to her defense. It is beautiful on that cold clear day when the frost is all over and the sun is beginning to peak over the mountain. Just bodaciously beautiful. Stunning. Worth every moment watching it all unfold, sparkling like a good cold wine.

True, with all of the extra folks now racing back and forth, and their pollution, and the homes up up up on the sides of the hills, it looks like a giant trash heap. Some of my old classmates really trash talk the valley today. so sad.

But at one time, it was beautiful. I suspect it can be again if you can find that spot where you can just look at Timp and see frost hanging in the air. The sun rays jutting all over the peak... It is a good memory.

Having visited Utah County over the years let me jot down some beautiful places I have been: 1. American Fork Canyon, any season; 2. Timp. Cave; 3. There is this little creek with trout ... you have to lay on your belly and toss in the grasshoppers about 15 feet upstream, that's all I dare say or the crowd will start forming; 4. The view west from the bench near PG; and 5. The woods at the end of the street in a sweet little town, a woods where you still find wildlife. Lots of woodpeckers.

We'll end it there. Utah County is not parched mpr scorched earth. True, some of the metropolitization is awful, and the rush rush rush rush rush is so pathetic. But there is beauty. There still is beauty.
